CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles police responded to 57 calls for service within town limits during November, according to monthly law enforcement statistics released by the department.
Officers also assisted with three calls outside of Cape Charles at the request of other agencies. No felony or misdemeanor arrests were recorded during the month.
Traffic enforcement activity remained steady, with officers issuing 23 traffic summonses. An additional 23 parking tickets were issued, reflecting continued enforcement of parking regulations in the town. Police reported no golf cart–related interactions during November.
Proactive policing efforts included 64 building checks conducted throughout the community, as well as 41 hours of foot patrols aimed at maintaining visibility and community engagement. Officers also logged 22 patrol hours in the Bay Creek area.
Cape Charles police assisted the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office on three occasions during the month and reported no assistance requests from the Virginia State Police or other agencies.
Town officials have previously emphasized that routine patrols, building checks, and interagency cooperation play a key role in maintaining public safety, particularly during slower tourism months when staffing and patrol patterns may shift.
