Pet of the Week: Meet Pumpkin

Hi, I am Pumpkin, a 1-year-old hound mix female. I am extremely shy upon meeting any new people. I am spayed and up to date on my rabies vaccinations.

I weigh in at 26.3 pounds currently and am a small to medium-sized dog. Due to my age, I am not expected to get any larger than I am right now.

I am young, and once I warm up to you, I am typically warm and affectionate and seek my humans for validations. I was raised on a farm with my mom and other dogs, so I may do well with another dog. It is uncertain how I would do in a home with cats.

I may require more than one visit to get to know me. But once I am comfortable, I relax and play. I can be bought with the right treats to investigate you. For now I may be better suited in a home with older children as I am not aggressive but I am nervous and timid at times.

If you think you may be interested in adopting Pumpkin, you can do a kennel walk-through on any Tuesday-Saturday 10am-2:30 pm.

(Please note we do not have any same-day adoptions or meet and greets with dogs) An approved adoption application is required for an adoption meet and greet to be scheduled.
