Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a seminar, “Memories & Memorabilia of Nazi Germany.” The free 90-minute seminar will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Ellie Cackowski will lead the Seminar and will, using some personal memorabilia for show-and-tell, give her impressions of living in Darmstadt in Nazi Germany as a child during WWII, and her subsequent re-location to the United states on a converted troop carrier.
Cackowski and husband Len “retired” to the Shore to build and run the Blue Crow Antique Mall in Keller.
These seminars are occasionally rescheduled on short notice. Prospective attendees are urged to check the Seminar’s website (www.SciPhi.org) shortly before a scheduled date.
