The Academy for Lifetime Learning is pleased to announce its Spring 2026 lineup of classes. There are some new offerings as well as some old favorites. Classes begin in late January and end in May, so there is still time to sign up. You may register for as many classes as fit into your schedule. No matter how many classes you choose to take, you will pay only the one-time enrollment fee of $30.
This semester you can learn about our Eastern Shore shorebirds, hear a lecture on Turkey and the Seven Churches of St. John the Apostle, and learn how to use features of your iPhone beyond making calls and texting. Dennis Custis will be returning with his always-popular lecture on Eastern Shore History. And, if you would like to learn about and prepare Moroccan food, don’t miss Mary Kay Mulligan’s Cuisines of Morocco.
Some classes will be at the Eastern Shore Community College. Others will be held in locations throughout the community. To see course offerings, schedules, class times, and locations, please check out our website at www.allesva,org. The website has online registration available, as well as a printable copy of the registration form that can be downloaded and mailed in by those who prefer to register that way.
The Academy for Lifetime L Learning (A.L.L.) is an all-volunteer organization of individuals who share their interests and life experience to provide a rich and varied menu of courses. All money collected from membership fees, except for a small amount used to pay the expenses of the organization, is given each year in scholarships to help Eastern Shore high graduates continue their education.
