We are happy to announce that the Eastern Shore’s own, incredibly talented Angelica Garcia is coming to preform an evening under the stars at Shine and Rise Farm on June 29th at 7pm. Shine and Rise will open for seating and for folks to visit with the farm animals at 5:30 pm. Lawn chairs are encouraged. You can RSVP by emailing shineandrisecommunity@gmail.com or on Facebook by following Shine and Rise Farm.

Angelica Garcia is a dynamic vocalist that uses lyrical subject matter to inspire her songs arrangements. While she sometimes writes traditional songs, she often uses the voice to construct pop songs and beats.
For several years Garcia was an Accomac resident and a good friend to Shine and Rise Farm. She is currently living in Richmond, VA and finishing her second full length album.
Shine and Rise is a sustainable farm and education site committed to growing healthy plants, animals, people, and environment. Winner of the environmental stewardship award from Organic Gardening Magazine, and featured on NPR we are proud to be a venue for amazing music and nature.
The show is free and open to the public but we do encourage you to tip the artist. Shine and Rise Farm is located at 31305 Pennyville Rd, Painter, Virginia. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a night of great music, mother nature, and community.

Cherri, you are exactly right. We miss the diversity of people who used to live in our block. Now there…
