CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles has announced that its annual beach and sand maintenance will take place later this month, temporarily closing Cape Charles Beach to the public.
According to town officials, the beach will be closed from Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, to allow the Public Works crew to carry out maintenance work using heavy machinery. Depending on weather conditions, the work could extend into the weekend.
Officials are urging residents and visitors to adhere to posted signs and avoid the beach during the maintenance period to ensure public safety.
The project is part of the town’s ongoing efforts to prepare one of its most popular attractions for the upcoming season.
