The Dune and Wetlands Board application from Bay Creek to construct a floating dock to be used as a kayak ramp was withdrawn before the board could review and make a recommendation. There is a group of active kayakers, and the ramp is being designed for their use.
The actual property is owned by the Bay Creek Resort, however, they gave permission for this application to be filed by Robert Smith, adjacent property owner, on their behalf. The location is at the end of Palmers Landing Cul-de-Sac.
The application may be reworked and resubmitted at a later date.

You Do Not need a ramp to put a kayak in the water. What is wrong with people today?

The county put a kayak ramp down at oyster by the public boat ramps. I’ve yet to see anyone use it. I come in from crabbing and they are putting kayak over by the boat ramps.i pointed it out to a couple of um once and they didn’t even realize it was there. It looked a lot easier the way they were putting um in. What a waste of money that is.

Another liberal wet dream….kayak ramps.

Bay Creek is always happy to spend other people’s money. And, did you know, one must be a Bay Creek resident or “guest” to use the launch site\ramp?
L0cal says
Wait, you mean like it’s private property?
Scotiagirl says
Yup, Local…that seems to be the case
