On Thursday, the GOP House Committee on the Judiciary revealed that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) confirmed that under the Biden administration, the agency leaked taxpayer information of more than 405,000 Americans — including Donald Trump.
A letter from acting IRS Commissioner Douglas O’Donnell to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) stated, “How the IRS has notified or plans to notify victims of whether their protected taxpayer information was provided to a third party, including but not limited to The New York Times and Pro Publica. The Internal Revenue Code requires a taxpayer be notified if any person is criminally charged by indictment or information with inspection or disclosure of such taxpayer’s return or return information. The IRS has mailed notifications to 405,427 taxpayers whose returns and/or return information was disclosed by Mr. Littlejohn.”
Former IRS contractor Charles Littlejohn leaked the information; he is currently serving time in a Florida prison.
“Before its latest notification, the IRS indicated that Littlejohn’s leaks impacted an estimated 70,000 taxpayers, roughly 17 percent of the total. The IRS told (Rep. Jim) Jordan it is still gathering materials necessary to respond to the entirety of his inquiry,” National Review noted. “Littlejohn admitted to using the IRS archive to access the tax returns and leaked them to the New York Times and ProPublica, a left-wing outlet that has participated in progressives’ push to delegitimize the Supreme Court.”
“The IRS’s admission confirms the Committee’s suspicion and recent reports that show the scope of the leak was much broader than what the Biden Administration’s IRS initially led the public to believe. In May 2024, an IRS spokesman stated that ‘[m]ore than 70,000’ taxpayers were affected. We found out that it’s actually over 405,000 taxpayers!’” the House Committee wrote on X.
As the firm Morgan Lewis stated in December, “[T]he victim notification letters that the IRS mailed out in April (First Notices) outlined general information about the breach and summarized the taxpayers’ rights as victims, providing instructions on how to seek additional details. Ultimately, the IRS sent First Notices to more than 70,000 companies and individuals that the IRS determined had been impacted by Littlejohn’s criminal conduct. However, these First Notices contained no details regarding the data that Littlejohn had disclosed—for example, what specific documents, what specific information, or pertaining to what time period—which has caused frustration for many recipients.”
The Zelensky Blow Up – Still time to fix this??
US officials, including Marco Rubio thought a Ukraine deal was done, and then Zelenskyy moved the goal posts and asked for more after engaging in a spat with VP JD Vance. According to CBS News‘ Jennifer Jacobs:
“Trump fully intended to sign the minerals deal today. Two official binders were prepared — Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his Ukrainian counterpart and the two presidents were going to sit at a conference table in the East Room and then trumpet their success at podiums.”
…
None of this drama [was] premeditated. Trump officials were incredulous that some media outlets suggested it might have been. The greeting with Trump and Zelenskyy was warm, with jokes and a guest book signing in the West Wing lobby. They went straight into the Oval and the vibe was positive. White House wanted this deal done today.
Trump believes that Zelenskyy missed out on a huge opportunity to have the US as a business partner, with US companies helping Ukraine monetize mineral resources such as gas, oil, aluminum, tritrium, gallium and others. Trump viewed it as the 1st step in in a progression towards peace.

The Atlantic‘s David Frum was mega-triggered, writing: “Trump and Vance have revealed to Americans and to America’s allies their alignment with Russia, and their animosity toward Ukraine in general and its president in particular. The truth is ugly, but it’s necessary to face it.”
But, then there’s this:
- Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Medvedev posts on X ‘The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office. And Trump is right: The Kiev regime is “gambling with WWIII,” adding “For the first time, Trump told the truth to the cocaine clown’s face.”
- Hungarian President Vicktor Orbán thanks Trump for standing ‘for peace.’
But perhaps the biggest indicator that Zelensky is hurt came from Lindsey Graham, who walked out of the White House and said “I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country.
Remember back in 2015 when Professor Noam Chomsky warned that NATO pushing up to Russia’s borders and the 2014 coup made Ukraine’s tilt toward the West “unacceptable” to any Russian leader? He made it very clear this was a direct trigger for the conflict…. https://twitter.com/ricwe123/status/1895572107364614357
Graham then slammed Zelensky, saying “The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the president was just over the top,” adding “What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful. And I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again.”
