  1. KEEP IT COMING!

    Great stuff, as always!

Which is why the Cape Charles Mirror is a grand palladium of liberty while the liberal MSM is a grand palladium of lies and bull**** and propaganda for the Biden regime.

  2. Speaking of the battle of Kiev, which we keep hearing so much about, doesn’t anyone remember from basic high school history taught by grade 11, if I recall correctly, the real battle for Kiev back in 1941, which was an unprecedented defeat for the Red Army by Hitler’s Naxi legions and Panzers, exceeding even the Battle of Białystok–Minsk of June–July 1941?

Doesn’t anyone in this country, starting with goofy old Joe Biden and his bootlickers Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan, remember that the encirclement of Kiev by the Nazis trapped 452,700 soldiers, 2,642 guns and mortars, and 64 tanks, of which scarcely 15,000 had escaped from the encirclement by 2 October.

The Red Army Southwestern Front suffered 700,544 casualties, including 616,304 killed, captured, or missing during the battle.

The 5th, 37th, 26th, 21st, and 38th armies, consisting of 43 divisions, were almost annihilated and the 40th Army suffered many losses.

Like the Western Front before it, the Southwestern Front had to be recreated almost from scratch.

And still, the Nazis lost the war.

    Doesn’t anyone know this?

    1. I am not sure if people even want to know.

Take for instance the firebombing of Hamburg, Dresden as well as Tokyo. It is like it never happened.

In reference to Kiev, Merckel does remember history and the last place she wanted to send her troops to was Kiev. Germany seems to be in tune with history. I was quite surprised though how Germany stepped on the armaments being sent to assist the Ukrainians. It is my understanding that 80 percent of Germany’s oil is imported from Russia. Sounds a little high but in any event Germany is quite dependent on Russia for energy.

      1. Did you know, Scrapple Buffet, that Viet Nam never happened?

        My Lai never happened.

Us using napalm on villages full of women and children never happened, because we are the good guys, and we don’t do stuff like that, and the firebombing of Dresden didn’t happen, either.

And it is a new Germany now since Merckel is gone:

“How the Russian Invasion of Ukraine Upended Germany”

        by Alec MacGillis

        10 March 2022

As its effects have rippled across Europe and the world, one consequence has gone underexamined: The invasion has upended the political and economic policies of Germany, where the government has reconsidered its long-planned energy transition; undone a congenial political stance toward Russia that lasted for half a century; and reversed a policy of military minimalism that dates to the end of the Second World War.

Germany chose its dependence on Russia because it saw the economic links created by fuel imports — physical links, in the form of pipelines through Eastern Europe and under the Baltic Sea — as integral to keeping peace and integrating Russia into the rest of Europe.

On Feb. 22, Germany’s new chancellor, Olaf Scholz, announced a curtailment to that dependence on Russian energy.

The country was halting Nord Stream 2, a new gas pipeline from Russia that would be capable of providing Europe with 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year at a time when the rest of the Continent’s gas production is declining.

Not only would this leave Germany without a crucial source for its energy supply, it was an admission that the strategy of “Ostpolitik” — accommodation with Russia — that Scholz’s center-left Social Democratic Party had embraced, at least in spirit, for more than 50 years, was a failure.

On Feb. 27, Scholz made an even more stunning declaration.

After having already decided to send heavy weaponry to Ukraine, Germany would vastly increase its defense spending — making it, by one estimate, the third-largest military spender in the world, after the U.S. and China — and shift its entire posture toward military engagement.

“President Putin created a new reality with his invasion of Ukraine,” Scholz said.

“This new reality requires a clear response.”

        “We have given it.”

The following day, Finance Minister Christian Lindner told the broadcaster ARD that Germany would now “get one of the most capable, most powerful armies in Europe, one of the best-equipped armies in Europe in the course of this decade.”

More than 75 years after the Nazis were vanquished, Germany would allow itself to think and act as a regional power again, complete with pride in its military capability.

Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, a senior member of the historically pacifist-inclined Green Party, said, “If our world is different, then our politics must also be different.”

  3. “Defending freedom is going to cost!”

    – The Democrat goofball and idiot Joe Biden on how sanctions against Russia, including an oil embargo, will affect consumer prices.

Except we are not defending freedom at all,

Joe Biden is using our tax dollars to defend the corruption in Ukraine that feeds Hunter Biden, and the Democrats.

Joe Biden does not know what freedom is or what the word even means.

To him, it is just another empty soundbite, like “sacred democracy.”

  4. For Joe Biden to be able to build back the world better as only he can do as god’s chosen here on earth to be the undisputed WORLD LEADER, it is first necessary that he destroy it and us along with it to save it and us and give us some dignity by ending the Democrat party corruption here:

    BRIEFING ROOM

Remarks by President Biden Before the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly

    SEPTEMBER 21, 2021

    United Nations Headquarters

    New York, New York

    10:01 A.M. EDT

One of the most important ways we can effectively enhance security and reduce violence is by seeking to improve the lives of the people all over the world who see that their governments are not serving their needs.

Corruption fuels inequality, siphons off a nation’s resources, spreads across borders, and generates human suffering.

It is nothing less than a national security threat in the 21st century.

Around the world, we’re increasingly seeing citizens demonstrate their discontent seeing the wealthy and well-connected grow richer and richer, taking payoffs and bribes, operating above the law while the vast majority of the people struggle to find a job or put food on the table or to get their business off the ground or simply send their children to school.

People have taken to the streets in every region to demand that their governments address peoples’ basic needs, give everyone a fair shot to succeed, and protect their God-given rights.

And in that chorus of voices across languages and continents, we hear a common cry: a cry for dignity — simple dignity.

As leaders, it is our duty to answer that call, not to silence it.

The United States is committing to use — committed to using our resources and our international platform to support these voices, listen to them, partner with them to find ways to respond that advance human dignity around the world.

That’s the idea behind the Build Back Better World.

  5. And who in the hell is this corrupt pissant thug Zelensky in Democrat-controlled Ukraine to be promising world war three:

“U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbs above 2.29% as Powell warns inflation is ‘much too high’”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that if peace talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin fail, it would mean the start of a global war.

“If these attempts fail, that would mean that this is a third world war,” Zelenskyy said in an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria that aired Sunday morning.

  6. And fast-forwarding back in time, keeping in mind that this Democrat goofball Biden was Hussein Obama’s assistant president at the time, although Joe might not remember any of this, since it happened oh so long ago, we have AMERICAN HISTORY 101, or maybe it is Groundhog Day all over again, who can tell the difference anymore, as follows:

“Sanctions to target Russia’s defense industry, others: US”

    27 APRIL 2014

Washington (AFP) – The next round of US sanctions against Moscow over Ukraine will target Russia’s defense industry as well as individuals and companies close to President Vladimir Putin, a senior US official said Sunday.

“Starting this week, in coordination with our allies and partners, we’ll be exerting additional pressure on the people closest to him, the companies they control, the defense industry.”

“All of this,” deputy national security adviser Tony Blinken said on CNN’s State of the Union.

In a separate interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Blinken said high technology exports to the Russian defense industry would be affected.

President Barack Obama said earlier Sunday the sanctions being drawn up by G7 countries were a punishment for Moscow’s “provocation” in eastern Ukraine.

“It is important for us to take further steps sending a message to Russia that these kinds of destabilizing activities taking place in Ukraine have to stop,” Obama said in Kuala Lumpur.

Blinken, however, made clear that Washington would not meet Ukraine’s demands for weapons despite menacing Russian military exercises on its borders.

    “Here is the bottom line.”

“We could send weapons to Ukraine.”

“It wouldn’t make a difference in terms of their ability to stand up to the Russians,” he said.

Instead, he said Washington would focus economic aid to Kiev, with an estimated $37 billion being rounded up by Washington, the IMF, World Bank and others.

  7. WHO wants to die for Joe Biden’s lies, other than the Democrats who are welcome to do so as far as this combat veteran who made the mistake of believing another Democrat liar as president is concerned:

Biden has sought to lower the political temperature following Trump’s divisive presidency.

But Americans remain polarized under his presidency.

While 77% of self-identified Democrats said they approved of his job performance, only 10% of self-identified Republicans and 27% of independents gave him a positive rating.

  8. And while we are on the subject of “BUILD BACK BETTER” Biden’s damn poor judgment about everything, we have another example right here as old Joe brags up how his “economic policies” have made our lives so much better for us:

    Statement from President Biden

“While there’s still more to be done, we’ve made remarkable progress over the last 10 months in getting Americans back to work and getting our economy moving again.”

“That success is a testament to the economic agenda I’ve pursued and to the decisive action that the Federal Reserve has taken under Chair Powell and Dr. Brainard to help steer us through the worst downturn in modern American history and put us on the path to recovery.”

“As I’ve said before, we can’t just return to where we were before the pandemic, we need to build our economy back better, and I’m confident that Chair Powell and Dr. Brainard’s focus on keeping inflation low, prices stable, and delivering full employment will make our economy stronger than ever before.”

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Monday vowed tough action on inflation, which he said jeopardizes an otherwise strong economic recovery.

The sudden policy tightening comes with inflation as measured by the consumer price index running at 7.9% on a 12-month basis.

A gauge that the Fed prefers still has prices up 5.2%, well above the central bank’s 2% target.

He conceded that Fed officials and many economists “widely underestimated” how long those pressures would last.

West Texas Intermediate rose more than $5 a barrel to settle close to $115 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, European Union and NATO leaders are set to gather in Brussels on Thursday to beef up their response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Ahead of the meetings, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the U.S. and its allies will impose further sanctions on Moscow.

“The energy market is looking at the short-term situation and medium-term situation and it’s bleak,” said Ed Moya, senior market analyst at Oanda.

“Putin wants ‘unfriendly’ countries to pay for Russian gas in roubles”

    By Nina Chestney

    MARCH 23, 2022

LONDON (Reuters) -Russia will seek payment in roubles for gas sales from “unfriendly” countries, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday, sending European gas prices soaring on concerns the move would exacerbate the region’s energy crunch.

With the financial noose tightening and the European Union split on whether to sanction Russia’s energy sector, Putin hit back with a clear message: If you want our gas, buy our currency.

Russian gas accounts for some 40% of Europe’s total consumption and EU gas imports from Russia have fluctuated between 200 million to 800 million euros ($880 million) a day so far this year.

The possibility that a change of currency could throw that trade into disarray sent some European wholesale gas prices up to 30% higher on Wednesday.

British and Dutch wholesale gas prices had jumped by Wednesday’s close.

Putin said the government and central bank had one week to come up with a solution on how to move these operations into the Russian currency and that gas giant Gazprom would be ordered to make the corresponding changes to gas contracts.

With major banks reluctant to trade in Russian assets, some Russian gas buyers in the European Union were not immediately able to clarify how they might pay for gas going forward.

Several firms, including oil and gas majors Eni, Shell and BP, RWE and Uniper – Germany’s biggest importer of Russian gas – declined to comment.

“It is unclear how easy it would be for European clients to switch their payments to roubles given the scale of these purchases,” said Leon Izbicki, associate at consultancy Energy Aspects.

“However, there are no sanctions in place that would prohibit payments of Russian gas in roubles,” he said, adding that Russia’s central bank could provide additional liquidity to foreign exchange markets that would enable European clients and banks to source the needed amount of roubles on the market.

Russia has drawn up a list of “unfriendly” countries corresponding to those that have imposed sanctions.

Among other things, deals with companies and individuals from those countries have to be approved by a government commission.

The list of countries includes the United States, European Union member states, Britain, Japan, Canada, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland and Ukraine.

“California Hits New Gasoline Price Record”

by Andreas Exarheas | Rigzone Staff

    Thursday, March 24, 2022

California hit a new average regular gasoline price record today, according to the AAA.

The organization’s gas prices website shows that the average price of the commodity in California came in at $5.88 per gallon on March 24, which is a new all time high, the AAA highlighted.

County retail prices fluctuated at between $5.50 per gallon and $6.63 per gallon, a map on the AAA site showed.

The top three most expensive counties for regular gasoline in the state were Mono, at $6.63 per gallon, San Luis Obispo, at $6.05 per gallon, and Inyo, at $6.04 per gallon, the AAA’s map outlined.

Yesterday’s average price for regular gasoline in the state was $5.87 per gallon, the week ago average was $5.78 per gallon, and the month ago average was $4.77 per gallon, according to the AAA.

The year ago average was shown to have come in at $3.88 per gallon.

  13. Talk about a combination of outright madness and just plain insanity, Joe Biden is going to supply Europe with natural gas to replace what the Russians are supplying, so Joe can literally strangle the Russians and put an end to them as a people, forever.

Except how is Joe going to do that, supply Europe with natural gas?

Bring it over across the ocean in wheelbarrows?

Or is he going to build a pipeline across the Atlantic Ocean?

Because how LNG (liquified natural gas) is now shipped is by boat, which means more fuel usage and more global warming, unless Joe is going to build a bunch, a whole bunch, of nuclear-powered boats to carry natural gas to Europe.

And by sending our natural gas to Europe, Joe is depriving us of the resource, which is used to generate electric power in this country, as well as heating houses.

    Incredible.

The Democrats wanted someone completely insane in the white house so they could feel good about themselves, having a president that is just like them, and they sure did hit the mark with goofy old Joe Biden.

    1. Most folks know the truth about who the real power here is and, it certainly is not ol’ Joe. The Obamas have stated their disdain for this country more than once and, it is Barry Hussein who is the man behind the curtain. He and Michelle want the USA to fall into absolute ruin as soon as possible. DISGUSTING and of course, TREASONOUS!

  14. FACT SHEET: United States and European Commission Announce Task Force to Reduce Europe’s Dependence on Russian Fossil Fuels

    MARCH 25, 2022

Today, President Joe Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a joint Task Force to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian fossil fuels and strengthen European energy security as President Putin wages his war of choice against Ukraine.

This Task Force for Energy Security will be chaired by a representative from the White House and a representative of the President of the European Commission.

It will work to ensure energy security for Ukraine and the EU in preparation for next winter and the following one while supporting the EU’s goal to end its dependence on Russian fossil fuels.

The Task Force will organize its efforts around two primary goals:

    (1) Diversifying liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies in alignment with climate objectives; (

    (2) Reducing demand for natural gas.

Diversifying LNG Supplies in Alignment with Climate Objectives

The United States will work with international partners and strive to ensure additional LNG volumes for the EU market of at least 15 bcm in 2022, with expected increases going forward.

The United States and the European Commission will undertake efforts to reduce the greenhouse gas intensity of all new LNG infrastructure and associated pipelines, including through using clean energy to power onsite operations, reducing methane leakage, and building clean and renewable hydrogen-ready infrastructure.

The European Commission will prepare an upgraded regulatory framework for energy security of supply and storage, as well as working with EU Member States to accelerate regulatory procedures to review and determine approvals for LNG import infrastructure.

The United States will maintain its regulatory environment with an emphasis on supporting this emergency energy security objective and the REPowerEU goals.

The European Commission will work with EU Member States toward the goal of ensuring, until at least 2030, demand for approximately 50 bcm/year of additional U.S. LNG that is consistent with our shared net-zero goals.

This also will be done on the understanding that prices should reflect long-term market fundamentals and stability of supply and demand.

    Reducing Demand for Natural Gas

The United States and the European Commission will engage key stakeholders, including the private sector, and deploy immediate recommendations to reduce overall gas demand by accelerating market deployment of clean energy measures.

Immediate reductions in gas demand can be achieved through energy efficiency solutions such as ramping up demand response devices, including smart thermostats, and deployment of heat pumps.

The REPowerEU plan estimates that reductions through energy savings in homes can replace 15.5 bcm this year and that accelerating wind and solar deployment can replace 20 bcm this year, and through EU’s existing plans such as “Fit for 55” contribute to the EU goal of saving 170 bcm/year by 2030.

As global leaders in renewable energy, the United States and the European Commission will work to expedite planning and approval for renewable energy projects and strategic energy cooperation, including on technologies where we both excel such as offshore wind.

We will continue to collaborate to advance the production and use of clean and renewable hydrogen to displace unabated fossil fuels and cut greenhouse gas emissions, which will include both technology and supporting infrastructure.

“The problem with Joe Biden’s promise to send Europe much more natural gas to wean it off Russian fuel”

BY CHRIS MEGERIAN, CATHY BUSSEWITZ, AND THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

    March 25, 2022 6:56 AM EDT

The United States and European Union on Friday announced a new partnership to reduce the continent’s reliance on Russian energy, the start of a years-long initiative to further isolate Moscow after its invasion of Ukraine.

As part of the plan, the U.S. and other nations will increase liquified natural gas exports to Europe by 15 billion cubic meters this year, the White House said.

Even larger shipments would be delivered in the future.

And Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser, recently told reporters that the administration wants to quickly “surge” gas to Europe.

    The problem

Getting more liquefied natural gas to Europe could be difficult, even though the U.S. has been dramatically increasing its exports in recent years.

Many export facilities are already operating at capacity, and most new terminals are still only in the planning stages.

Even if the U.S. can ship more gas to Europe, the continent may struggle to receive it.

Import terminals are located in coastal areas, where there are fewer pipeline connections for distributing it.

Even if all Europe’s facilities were operating at capacity, the amount of gas would likely be only about two-thirds of what Russia delivers through pipelines.

  16. And as Joe Biden, the WORLD LEADER, shifts his attention to caring for his dependencies in Europe as opposed to America, this is what his WAR OF CHOICE against Putin in Ukraine is doing to us back here, but of course, this is the sacrifice we are expected to make for Joe as he pursues his war against autocrats and oligarchs that he wants to wipe the face of the earth clean of:

“U.S. Treasury yields jump on tighter Fed policy expectations”

    By Herbert Lash

    MARCH 25, 2022

NEW YORK, March 25 (Reuters) – U.S. Treasury yields rose on Friday, with the benchmark 10-year note surging to nearly three-year highs, as the market grappled with high inflation and a Federal Reserve that could easily spark a downturn as it aggressively tightens policy.

Americans are going to see inflation of 6% or more in the foreseeable future, a pace that will not slow until the end of 2022 when food prices may fall, said Stephen Hoedt, managing director of equity and fixed income research at Key Private Bank.

“The Fed is going to be chasing its tail when it comes to this inflation situation.”

“They’re behind the curve and even if they go 50 basis points in the next couple of meetings, they’re still behind the curve,” Hoedt said.

But rising prices for food and energy, items the consumer is keenly aware of, are unlikely to fall as much as policymakers would like and could keep inflation elevated, he said.

“The consumer is going to have its expectations set by what happens when they go to the gas pump or the grocery store.”

“And that has the potential to embed a wage price spiral, and I think that’s really what we’re fearful of,” Hoedt said.

The odds that the Fed is able to conduct a soft landing based on history are fairly low, said Jimmy Chang, chief investment officer at Rockefeller Global Family Office.

“The Fed knows it’s behind the curve.”

“It has to be aggressive in hiking rates and shrinking the balance sheet to fight inflation,” said Chang, adding the jobs market will remain strong this year but a recession is more likely in 2023.

    “History will repeat itself.”

“The collateral damage will be the economy.”

  17. Does anyone, can anyone in America or the world doubt that on 6 January 2022, the Democrats in the Nancy’s House, the world’s most expensive whore house located in the Sacred Temple of Democracy in Washington. D.C., the pestilential federal city that destroyed a perfectly good swamp, saddled us with a real gone-out-of-his-mind madman with their insurrection and coup against our Constitutional form of government?

Yes, people, a true rug-chewing madman once again walks the earth and this time, his name is Joe Biden, which takes us to a CNBC story titled “Biden says Putin ‘cannot remain in power’ in sweeping speech on Russian invasion of Ukraine” by Kevin Breuninger on March 26, 2022, where we have the madman being quoted as follows:

President Joe Biden on Saturday said Russian leader Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power,” ratcheting up international pressure and further uniting NATO allies against Putin over his invasion of Ukraine.

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden said.

In his speech, Biden urged democracies around the world to unify against Russia and commit to a historic battle against authoritarian aggression.

“In this battle, we need to be clear-eyed,” he said.

“We need to steel ourselves for the long fight ahead.”

    end quotes

Joe has gone off the deep end, and the crazed fool, drunk with power, arrogant as all get-out, is going to take the world with him as he sets it aflame in his battle for the SOUL OF THE WORLD after having won the BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF AMERICA, which he is now crushing, which is what a dictator like Joe, bent on building an empire does, erase the people’s love for liberty so as to plunge us into a world of hopelessness and darkness.

He also said as follows: “it is Putin who is to blame for the mountain of international sanctions that are crushing Russia’s economy and its currency, noting that the Russian ruble has been reduced to rubble.”

    end quotes

Except a check of the international exchange rates as of today shows that that stupid, ignorant comment by the autocrat Biden about the “Russian ruble has been reduced to rubble” is pure Biden-esque BULL****, which shows how much Joe Biden is totally out of touch with operative reality, which is why only Democrats believe a word he says.

While it is true that the ruble tumbled to as low as 150 per dollar in offshore markets earlier in March amid a series of Western sanctions for the invasion of Ukraine, government measures to defend the currency and stabilize financial markets helped the ruble recoup most of the losses, so that the Russian ruble stabilized at 92 per dollar on Friday, 25 March 2022, the day before the rug-chewing madman’s speech in Poland, which takes us to a white house damage control attempt in an article in The Hill titled “White House attempts to walk back Biden stating Putin can’t stay in power” by Alex Gangitano on 26 March 2022, where we were treated to the following:

The White House is attempting to walk back a major moment in President Biden’s remarks on Saturday, in which he declared that Russian President Vladimir Putin should not remain in power.

“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” the president said at the end of his speech in Warsaw, Poland.

Following the remarks, a White House official said that comment was referring to Putin exercising power outside of Russia.

“The president’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region.”

“He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change,” the official said in an email.

    end quotes

Uh, yeah, right, right, but that is BULL**** as well, because the old fool is on YouTube and there is no mistaking what he is saying, which is the same thing he and Hussein Obama were saying when they said Gaddafi couldn’t rule in Libya before Hillary Clinton had him killed and Basher Assad min Syria, who still rules despite Joe’s threats, which takes us back to The Hill as follows:

The comment was a particularly notable moment, however, appearing to mark a shift in Biden’s thinking about Putin’s position in Russia.

It’s unclear if the White House meant that Biden muddled his words or went off-script with his comments.

The White House did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment to clarify the statement.

Biden at one point in his remarks declared, “It is Putin, it is Vladimir Putin who is to blame.”

    “Period.”

    end quotes

No, Joe, that is not true, at all – it is Biden, it is Joe Biden who is to blame, period, which is why Joe’s approval rating is plunging like a big stone in free fall off a high cliff with nothing to stop it on its way down.

  18. Here is the exact quote about the “ruble being rubble” from the transcript of Joe’s Royal Castle speech in Poland on 26 March 2o22:

As a result of these unprecedented sanctions, the ruble almost is immediately reduced to rubble.

The Russian economy — that’s true, by the way, it takes about 200 rubles to equal $1.

    end quotes

Which is pure fantasy and hog crap to boot, because the ruble never reached 200 to the dollar.

On 7 March 2022, the high point on the chart ( https://tradingeconomics.com/russia/currency ) it was at 132 to the dollar and by 16 March 2022 it was at 90 to the dollar and on 25 March 2022, the day before Joe’s speech, it was at 96.5 to the dollar.

This is why the majority of the American people, those capable of thinking, do not believe a word Joe says, because he lies all the time, like he is doing there with that stupid comment about it taking 200 rubles to by a dollar.

If Joe is lying about that, how much else is he lying about?

    And why?

  19. Joe Biden is doing this to us:

Excluding food and energy prices, the personal consumption expenditures price index increased 5.4% from the same period in 2021, the biggest jump going back to April 1983.

Including gas and groceries, the headline PCE measure jumped 6.4%, the fastest pace since January 1982.

Goods prices climbed by 1.1% for the month, the fastest increase since October 2021, pressured by supply chain backups that have bedeviled the economy for much of the pandemic era.

Those problems were expected to be “transitory,” a description the Fed had to abandon when it finally capitulated on the loosest monetary policy in its history.
