MACHIPONGO, Va. — The Governor’s School for the Arts Baroque Orchestra will bring the elegance of classical music to Hungars Episcopal Church, located at 10107 Bayside Road, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
The concert will feature a selection of quartets by Haydn, Villa-Lobos, and Debussy, as well as Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata 202, “Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten” and the masterful Brandenburg Concerto No. 4.
The event is open to the public, and a donation will be accepted at the door to support the performance and the talented musicians of the Governor’s School for the Arts.
Hungars Episcopal Church, known for its excellent acoustics and historic charm, provides the perfect setting for this evening of timeless compositions. Music enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and enjoy an exceptional cultural experience.
