  1. Hard to believe anyone familiar with the use of a watch house could believe that structure to be built for that purpose. Persian rugs, white carpet and upholstery, big screen TVs, wet bars and articulating lamps are not exactly standard fare while you watch for someone stealing oysters in your muddy work boots.

  2. The complainers should be happy it is near their property. It is by far the nicest looking structure there. I’m in the process of reporting a burned out house down the road from me that needs to be torn down. I would gladly trade that for Salt Grove which is beautiful!

  3. Once again the 80 percent that do nothing seem to find time to criticize the 20 percent that do somethings to improve the county . It is beyond reason to me that someone would be bothered by a building chosen to be on Garden Tour while the entire Eastern Shore is littered with dilapidated shacks . Salt Grove shouldn’t even be on the list of concerns.

  4. I TOOK A DRIVE LAST WEEK TO LOOK AT THIS FACILITY.HAVING NOT BEEN IN THE AREA FOR SOME TEN YEARS WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING AND LOCATION LAST TIME I VISITED THIS CREEK WAS BY BOAT LONG TIME AGO IT WAS A PITIFUL SITE AT THAT TIME .HAVING READ THE ARTICLE THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL BUILDING SHOULD BE CONGRATULATED NOT CHASTISED Mr TAYLOE MUST BE A COME LATELY THEY CAUSE ALL TROUBLE IN COUNTY.

  5. The issue is not whether the structure is pretty or ugly . The issue is about someone trying to illegally sneak around the zoning laws .

The whole system is in jeopardy if the zoning laws are not enforced in every instance .

    Don’t like the law ? There’s a system to change it .
