Cape Charles, Va. — The Cape Charles Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is set to hold a public hearing and meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., where they will discuss a request from Dreams by the Water regarding potential changes to front setback requirements. The proposal seeks to adjust these setbacks to enable additional development within the specified property areas.

This meeting will provide a platform for community feedback and considerations around the proposed changes, with BZA members assessing how the adjustments may impact local growth and neighborhood characteristics.
Additionally, BZA members Weigand and Holloway have commenced a six-week certification class at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they will receive training on zoning practices, which is expected to further inform the board’s decisions on such regulatory matters.
