CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Historic District Review Board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, June 17, at 5 p.m. to consider four applications for Certificates of Appropriateness, including projects ranging from new construction to property renovations within the town’s historic district.
The agenda includes the following proposals:
- 209 Monroe Avenue – A request to remove an existing chimney and flue.
- 425 Randolph Avenue – A plan to renovate the existing rear accessory structure and replace the current fence.
- 601 Tazewell Avenue – A proposal to construct a side addition and install a ramp on the existing one-story building.
- Tax Map #83A1-1-104, Washington Avenue – A request to build a new single-family dwelling and install a rear outdoor shower.
The meeting will be open to the public and is scheduled to take place at Town Hall. The Review Board will evaluate each application for consistency with local design guidelines intended to preserve the architectural character of Cape Charles’ historic district.
