CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Historic District Review Board is scheduled to meet on Monday, October 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to consider several applications for Certificates of Appropriateness, including plans for new construction and renovations within the town’s historic district.
Among the key agenda items:
- 526 Tazewell Avenue: Wayne and Debbie MacMasters have submitted an application to remove the existing wood siding and trim from the bay window of their two-story single-family home and replace it with AZEK, a durable composite material.
- 128 Peach Street: Richard Baker has proposed replacing the wood balustrades on the front porch of his two-story single-family home with new composite balustrades.
- Randolph Avenue (Tax Map #83A3-1-584): John Lucas, represented by Mitchell Homes, seeks approval to construct a new 1,131-square-foot, two-story single-family dwelling on this vacant lot.
- Monroe Avenue (Tax Map #83A3-1-418): The Wagner family—Austin, Laura, and Katherine—have applied to build a new 1,218-square-foot, two-story single-family home on another vacant lot.
