CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Plans for a permanent downtown restroom facility are progressing as HBA Architects prepare a site plan for the proposed location at Peach and Mason avenues, expected to be ready by Oct. 10, 2025.
The Cape Charles Town Council has also requested that the owners of 11 Peach Street submit a lease agreement for review and consideration for an alternative site at 7 Strawberry Street.
Town officials have been working toward establishing a permanent restroom location to better serve visitors and support the growing number of downtown events. The new facility would replace temporary units currently used during the busy tourist season.
Once the site plan is complete, council members will review design and leasing options before determining the final location.
Finally some good news. Hopefully Cape Charles can address this continuing problem.
