Cape Charles Planning Commission to take up workforce housing project

January 1, 2023 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

The Cape Charles Planning Commission will meet on January 3rd to take up old and new business aspects of the proposed Bay Crossing workforce housing project. The commission will be amending Article III to create a new zoning district called Bay Crossing Planned Unit Development. This includes reviewing Zoning Map Amendment (ZMA – 2023-01) to rezone Tax Map #90-19-A from Residential-R3 to the new zoning district called “Bay Crossing Planned Unit Development District”.

The commission will review a request from Town Council to draft Zoning Text Amendments to Section 4.5 – Off-Street Parking and Loading Standards–adding golf cart parking spaces. A subcommittee for this process will be created

The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 PM on January 3rd at the Town Civic Center 500 Tazewell Avenue.
