CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Police Department has released the November statistics, providing insights into the month’s law enforcement activities within the town and its surrounding areas.
According to the data provided by the Cape Charles Police Department, a total of 99 calls for service were recorded within Cape Charles during November. Additionally, officers responded to eight calls for service outside of Cape Charles, providing assistance as required.
The statistics further indicate that the department made three felony arrests and five misdemeanor arrests over the course of the month. Twenty traffic summonses were issued, reflecting the department’s dedication to maintaining safety on the roads.
Moreover, officers engaged in six interactions involving golf carts and issued 11 parking tickets during November. Regular building checks numbered 24, emphasizing the department’s commitment to ensuring security and vigilance in the community.
In terms of collaboration, Cape Charles Police officers assisted the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office five times and aided the Virginia State Police on three occasions. They also provided assistance to various other agencies as part of their commitment to collective law enforcement efforts.
Notably, officers devoted 38 hours to foot patrols and 25 hours to Bay Creek patrols, enhancing their presence and vigilance in key areas.
Regarding arrests made during November, the charges included Disorderly Conduct, Assault on Law Enforcement, Obstructing Justice, Assault and Battery, and Breaking and Entering a Dwelling at Night.
Additionally, the department was actively engaged in community events, including assisting in a wounded warrior event. Officers also completed specialized training in threat assessment, underscoring their commitment to continuous professional development and community service.
