CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles police reported a range of calls for service over the past week, including multiple vehicle lockouts, disputes, and reports of stolen property.
According to the department’s weekly report, officers handled incidents such as a neighbor dispute, a verbal dispute, a domestic dispute, and a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Police also responded to calls involving trespassing, a suspicious person, an intoxicated subject, unsecured doors, noise complaints, and citizen assists.
Other activities included building checks, traffic summons, code enforcement violations, and routine foot patrols throughout town. Officers also conducted witness and subject interviews and carried out a warrant service.
The police department said calls for stolen property were reported twice, while officers responded to three separate vehicle lockouts during the week.
In other words, business as usual for a police department.
Sounds like CCPD still isn’t working hard enough. Maybe we should bring the National Guard to do their jobs for them.
