September was a busy month for the Cape Charles Police—the CCPD answered 147 calls in town and 8 outside of Town. Violent crime took center stage with felony arrests for fleeing law enforcement and assault on law enforcement. This includes the car chase that ended in Central Park.
In all, there were 8 felony arrests and 10 misdemeanor arrests.
The crime gallery consists of drunk in public, Assault on law enforcement, Eluding, Grand larceny, Flee law enforcement, Fraud, Break & Enter, (2) Trespass, Robbery using force, Assault and batter, unauthorized use, Aiding and abetting.
On the road, the CCPD issued 37 Traffic Summons, as well as 17 Golf cart interactions. 36 Parking tickets were issued.
The force logged 36 foot patrol hours and patrolled Bay Creek for 19 hours.
