CAPE CHARLES, Va. — A Bay Creek resident’s report of a ticking noise led to the discovery of a broken valve in the neighborhood’s sewer system, town officials said.
The resident noticed the sound, described as similar to a pump priming itself, coming from beneath a sewer cover in the roadway. The concern was reported to the Town Manager, who contacted Virginia American Water to investigate.
Crews determined the noise was caused by a broken valve. Town officials said the resident’s quick action helped prevent what could have developed into a major problem.
It is truly distressing to see how some of these entitled communities are behaving, seemingly oblivious to their responsibilities. Flushing their precious tampons as if it bears no consequence? This reminds me of the biblical warnings against wastefulness and disregard for our stewardship of the Earth. While Cape Charles struggles to manage the fallout, Baycreek appears to float above it all, sipping their overpriced lattes and ignoring the chaos they’ve caused.
This behavior is a disgrace! They treat their responsibility for God’s creation as a burdensome task, not realizing that their actions have real consequences for their neighbors and the environment. Where is the accountability that our faith teaches us? If you live in abundance, have the humility and grace to acknowledge your impact on the world around you!
Let us put aside this flaunting of privilege and instead embrace the call to be responsible stewards of creation. It is time to reflect on how we can honor our responsibilities and support one another, striving to live out the values of compassion and care that our faith so deeply emphasizes.
WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT?
It’s really time for Bay Creek to become it’s own municipality. We are neglecting real things in this town as discussed at Town Council Thursday night – yet we drop everything and run over to there to deal with this crap that should be handled by Bay Creek themselves. Town Council should be held accountable to protect ordinary taxpayers outside of Bay Creek from that HOA.
Their gates – their problem.
That’s not how it works champ.
Champ? Wow. Thank you. I do in fact have a couple medals.
How does it work, genius?
I am guessing that you are a Bay Creek resident who is starting to read the writing on the exclusive gates.
Time to build your own municipal infrastructure and quit spending our money on your private resort.
I’m guessing you harbor some Bay Creek envy.
Maybe you should have purchased there Councilman.
