CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Rosenwald School Restoration Initiative (CCRSRI) has announced a search for a Fund Development and Community Engagement Consultant to play a key role in preparing for the reopening of the Cape Charles Elementary School.
Set to open in 2025 as a workforce development and cultural arts center, the historic Rosenwald School aims to serve Northampton and Accomack counties by providing educational and cultural programming. The consultant will work closely with the CCRSRI Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission by leading efforts in fundraising, grant writing, and community engagement.
This position is integral to realizing the vision of restoring this historic school as a vibrant community hub. The organization seeks someone innovative and passionate about collaboration, reconciliation, and capacity building.
The part-time, contract position calls for candidates with strong leadership, event planning, and fundraising experience. A bachelor’s degree or at least three years of relevant experience is preferred. CCRSRI emphasizes its commitment to inclusivity and encourages qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
