CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is seeking volunteers to fill one open position on the Cape Charles Memorial Library Board and two vacancies on the Building Code Board of Appeals.
Town residents interested in contributing their time and expertise to these boards—or any other town board or commission—are encouraged to apply by completing the Application for Boards and Commission and submitting it to Town Clerk Libby Hume. Applications can be delivered in person to 2 Plum Street, Cape Charles, VA 23310, or emailed to clerk@capecharles.org.
Once a pool of applicants has been received, the Town Council will schedule interviews before making formal appointments.
Notably, while board positions are generally limited to Cape Charles residents, the Town Council has approved accepting applications from Northampton County residents for the Library Board, as the Cape Charles Memorial Library serves citizens throughout the county.
