In August, Cape Charles received a Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for $845,115. To get the money, the town has some hoops to jump through.
The DHCD requires that the town create standard program documents, including:
• Non-Discrimination Policy
• Grievance Procedure
• Business & Employment Plan
• Fair Housing Certification
On Thursday, Town Council approved the content and use of the documents.
