  1. I say give him a FAIR chance and support him unless he clearly shows that he can’t do the job. If he starts playing politics or is less than honest or transparent, cut bait fast and move on. Welcome to a great opportunity as a city manager that can make a difference Rick! There really are people supportive of honest governance, please don’t loose that focus.

  2. On a related note, I also support Chief Pruitt. At the same time he will need to adapt, learn and grow through both new and challenging times. Law enforcement (and new officers) have been through a lot the last few years, and it’s had a profound impact on new hires and the overall ability to do the job. (Notwithstanding what you are going to have to pay them) The City Manager and the Chief need to be tied at the hip for these challenges, and hopefully both will apply their knowledge and learn TOGETHER as they move forward. God bless both of them, they’re going to need it.

  3. Kim; Chief Pruitt’s established record speaks for itself.
The new manager is at this time an unknown quantity.
Time will tell and I wish him good luck.
