CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Town Council is set to hold an executive session to review application packages for the vacant town manager position and to select candidates for interviews.
The meeting, closed to the public in accordance with the Code of Virginia § 2.2-3711-A, Paragraph 1, will allow council members to discuss matters related to prospective candidates for employment. The provision permits closed-door sessions to deliberate on the assignment, appointment, promotion, or other personnel decisions involving specific public officers or employees.
Members of the public will be asked to leave the room during the executive session.

The council has not disclosed how many applications were received or the timeline for finalizing the appointment. The vacancy follows growing community interest in finding a candidate to address town priorities, including infrastructure upgrades and economic development.
