“The CDC also changed its wording for the definition of ‘vaccination’ from ‘the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease’ in 2018 to “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.’
The key differences here are, again, the absence of the word ‘immunity’ in the latest definition and the change to ‘protection’ instead.” – Verify”A spokesperson for the CDC told VERIFY in an emailed statement that ‘while there have been slight changes in wording over time to the definition of “vaccine” on the CDC’s website, those haven’t impacted the overall definition.’
‘The previous definition…could be interpreted to mean that vaccines were 100% effective, which has never been the case for any vaccine, so the current definition is more transparent,’ the spokesperson wrote in part.” – Verify
That’s a result of the democritization of words so that they mean at any given moment what six out of ten people in a room want them to mean, which is how sacred democracy really works.
What makes it sacred is that it gives people what they want, and here, they wanted to know that what is really horsepiss would be good for them, and everybody knows vaccines are good for you, because “THE SCIENCE” says so, the “THE SCIENCE” is never wrong and never lies, even about how good opioids were for you, or involuntary sterilization for that matter, so “THE SCIENCE” simply changed the meaning of the word “vaccine,” and now, as the case really should be in the world’s only “SACRED DEMOCRACY,” people feel good about themselves and all warm and squishy inside because they wanted a vaccine and the “SACRED DEMOCRACY” just provided it for them.
Like putting wings on a pig and calling it an eagle!
And for those Biden supporters out there hoping to score some hits on Trump by blaming this name change on him, here is what the Miami Herald had to say about it in the story
“Why did CDC change its definition for ‘vaccine’? Agency explains move as skeptics lurk” by Katie Camero on September 27, 2021, to wit:
Social media is calling bluff on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for modifying its definition of the words “vaccine” and “vaccination” on its website.
Before the change, the definition for “vaccination” read, “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.”
Now, the word “immunity” has been switched to “protection.”
The term “vaccine” also got a makeover.
The CDC’s definition changed from “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease” to the current “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”
Some people have speculated that the unannounced changes were the CDC’s attempt to hide the fact COVID-19 vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing coronavirus infection.
U.S. Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky said in a popular tweet the CDC has “been busy at the Ministry of Truth.”
However, a CDC spokesperson told McClatchy News the “slight changes in wording over time … haven’t impacted the overall definition.”

Speaking as an older American with a memory who knows better, that sounds just like the kind of mealy-mouth horse**** this actor who plays Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor on TV would be peddling.
There weren’t “slight” changes over time – they have changed the meaning completely.
One day, a vaccine was something like the polio vaccine which prevented you from getting infected with polio.
Now, the Fauci definition would have polio vaccine as something that will still have you getting infected with polio, just not as bad a case of polio as would have been the case if you weren’t vaccinated.
Getting back to the Fauci bull**** some or many out there are trying to pin on Trump for obvious partisan political reasons to take attention off of just how badly this Democrat goofball Joe Biden is ******* up the country, the Miami Heald article continues as follows:
The previous definitions could have been “interpreted to mean that vaccines were 100% effective, which has never been the case for any vaccine, so the current definition is more transparent, and also describes the ways in which vaccines can be administered,” the spokesperson said.
“It’s also important to note that the modifications to the definition of ‘vaccine’ don’t change the fact that vaccines and the act of vaccination has prevented millions of illnesses and saved countless lives,” the spokesperson said in an email.
There remains the misconception that COVID-19 vaccines were designed to prevent infections altogether, leading people to believe the vaccines aren’t working as they should when they learn about breakthrough infections among the vaccinated.
But the coronavirus vaccines are doing exactly what they were designed to do, which is to prevent severe disease, including the need for hospitalization, and death — even in the presence of more dangerous versions of the virus such as the delta variant.
While data show the coronavirus shots are preventing infections in many outbreak scenarios, the fact breakthrough infections are happening doesn’t suggest failure, experts say.

Which just goes to show what we who know these things because we are not stupid have always known: if you get the right experts, you can have facts and figures say and mean anything under the sun you will want them to mean, and people will believe you, well, because you are an expert and they are aren’t.
