NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. — Aspiring young basketball players will have a chance to sharpen their skills this summer at the Eastern Shore Basketball Camp, hosted by veteran high school coach Justin Powers. The coed day camp will run from July 7–10 at the Northampton County Parks and Recreation Center, welcoming boys and girls entering grades 3 through 9.
Campers will train from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, participating in skill stations, competitive drills, games, and fun contests aimed at developing fundamentals in an engaging and supportive environment.
Coach Powers, who has more than 20 years of experience coaching high school basketball, said his camps are designed to be “instructional, detailed, competitive—and most importantly, fun.” Known for his successful overnight camps at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Powers is expanding his reach with day camps across the state.
“I’m excited to offer a day camp on the Eastern Shore this summer,” he said. “This is a great opportunity for local players to improve their game and enjoy the sport.”
