CNN put a nurse on the air, the segment went viral, and now her story is falling apart. There will be no one accountable for this. Why are people turning away from gatekeepers and to echo chambers and finding their own sources for information?
A Twitter thread from a South Dakota emergency room nurse went viral. Soon, she was doing a live interview on CNN. “When I read some of your tweets, my jaw dropped,” the host told Jodi Doering, referring to her account of gravely ill patients who “scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is going to ruin the USA. All while gasping for breath.”
“The reason I tweeted what I did is that it wasn’t one particular patient,” the nurse said. “It’s just a culmination of so many people, and their last, dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening, it’s not real.’ And when they should be spending time FaceTime-ing their families, they’re filled with anger and hatred, and it just made me really sad.”
However, it was all BS. Other nurses who work in similar settings say they’ve seen nothing of the kind.
Little or no effort was made to assess the scope of the problem that Doering described. No one bothered to find out, they just ran with it. CNN, Washington Post “journalists” did not investigate. They decided the angle of the story and did not find facts to support it. That’s the way it works. If they find contradictory information, they leave it out or say ‘we’re still looking into this’ so they can get their propaganda on the air and then vet it later (if at all).
The reality: Huron Regional Medical Center has seen a total of six Covid-19 deaths to date. Beadle County, where Huron is located, has registered a total of 22 such deaths, 13 of which occurred since August 1. And in Sanborn County, where Doering lives, there’s been one Covid-19 death.
CNN went wild with this story, but not that it’s been proven “embellished”, Jake Tapper won’t address this on his show. Brian Stelter will ignore it. There won’t be suspensions of Camerota or the producers. No eye rolls from Anderson Cooper.
Twitter won’t label tweets from CNN as disputed and anyone who wants to do segments or hits on CNN in media will ignore it and then lament why millions of people aren’t listening to them and entertaining themselves with conspiracy theories instead. Rinse repeat.
So it goes.

A cursory reading of WWII history will show that the Nazi party used news outlets to push its lies. The bigger the lie, the more often it was repeated. Most people didn’t want to make the effort to challenge the narrative, and many feared ( rightly) retribution or retaliation for standing up for the TRUTH, as opposed to the party line. Is it any wonder that the left is so rabidly adamant about tearing down and erasing any evidence of history…..??
