KEY POINTS
* About three-fourths of people infected in a Massachusetts Covid-19 outbreak were fully vaccinated, according to new data published Friday by the CDC.
* The new data, published in the U.S. agency’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, also found that fully vaccinated people who get infected carry as much of the virus in their nose as unvaccinated people.
About three-fourths of people infected in a Massachusetts Covid-19 outbreak were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus with four of them ending up in the hospital, according to new data published Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The new data, published in the U.S. agency’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, also found that fully vaccinated people who get infected carry as much of the virus in their nose as unvaccinated people, and could spread it to other individuals.
“This finding is concerning and was a pivotal discovery leading to CDC’s updated mask recommendation,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said in a statement. “The masking recommendation was updated to ensure the vaccinated public would not unknowingly transmit virus to others, including their unvaccinated or immunocompromised loved ones.”
On Tuesday, the CDC reversed course on its prior guidance and recommended fully vaccinated Americans who live in areas with high Covid infection rates resume wearing face masks indoors. The guidelines cover about two-thirds of the U.S. population, according to a CNBC analysis.

WHO officials try to figure out why delta is so much dangerous than earlier Covid strains
While the delta variant continues to hit unvaccinated people the hardest, some vaccinated people could be carrying higher levels of the virus than previously understood and are potentially transmitting it to others, Walensky told reporters on a call Tuesday. She added the variant behaves “uniquely differently from past strains of the virus.”
A CDC document that was reviewed by CNBC warned that the delta variant sweeping across the country is as contagious as chickenpox, has a longer transmission window than the original Covid strain and may make older people sicker, even if they’ve been fully vaccinated.
Delta, now in at least 132 countries and already the dominant form of the disease in the United States, is more transmissible than the common cold, the 1918 Spanish flu, smallpox, Ebola, MERS and SARS, according to the document. Only measles appears to spread faster than the variant.
The data published Friday was based on 469 cases of Covid associated with multiple summer events and large public gatherings held in July in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, which encompasses Cape Cod and is just outside Martha’s Vineyard. The events were held in Provincetown, according to NBC News. Approximately three-quarters, or 74%, of the cases occurred in fully vaccinated people who had completed a two-dose course of the mRNA vaccines or received a single shot of Johnson & Johnson’s.
Overall, 274 vaccinated patients with a breakthrough infection were symptomatic, according to the CDC. The most common side effects were cough, headache, sore throat, muscle pain and fever. Among five Covid patients who were hospitalized, four were fully vaccinated, according to the agency. No deaths were reported.
Testing identified the delta variant in 90% of specimens from 133 patients.
The CDC said the data has limitations. The agency noted that as population-level vaccination coverage increases, vaccinated persons are likely to represent a larger proportion of Covid cases. Additionally, asymptomatic breakthrough infections might be underrepresented because of detection bias, the agency said.
The CDC also said the report is “insufficient” to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the authorized vaccines against Covid, including the delta variant, during this outbreak.

So it is the self-righteous vaccinated people out there glorying in their supposed immunity and not wearing masks while getting in the faces on the unvaccinated, spewing COVID germs, who are now the major threat to the rest of us.
I thought Joe Biden and the clown Fauci assured us that if we were vaccinated, we would all be immune.
Guess that was just more BULL**** from Washington, D.C. the world capitol of BULL**** production.
Who has the immunity is BIG PHARM, immunity from suit, as they reap BILLION$ from selling these vaccines that don’t seem to protect us to the federal government.

I want to thank all of the lab rats that ran to get a dose or two of the experimental drug that the manufacturers thereof have NO LIABILITY for the damage it may cause you. You are very brave or very foolish but in no circumstances are you intelligent. Did you do any research on the experimental drugs? Do you know what is in them? Were you tested in advance to insure you were not among the group that has know side effects up to and including death? Or did you blindly go to get the shot just so you could stop wearing the dreaded mask (by the way has been scientifically proven to not stop the virus, just deny the wearer needed oxygen)? Maybe fear drove you to take this drastic step but I would be more fearful of the side effects you may encounter in the weeks and months to come. By the way, I got the virus and I am in the age group that has a greater chance of death (according to the CDC). It was no worse than getting the flu. I now how natural immunity but the Government still wants me to take an experimental unproven drug that does not even protect you from the virus. It is time to JUST SAY NO to these bureaucrats and get on with life. And here is a little secret I will share with you: “We are ALL going to die sometime. In the meantime live and enjoy life. Don’t let bullies in government keep you down!

According to a BBC article entitled “Covid-19: Biden tells states to offer $100 vaccine incentive as cases rise” published 31 July 2021, president “Corn Pop” is calling for states to offer $100 to the newly vaccinated in an effort to address flagging jab rates amid virus surges.
It’s like paying people to vote, which isn’t really the same as buying votes, because when you are paying them to vote, you’re rewarding them for using what is in reality a sacred right, and when you are giving people $100 to get vaccinated, why, what you are doing isn’t bribing them; to the contrary, you’re rewarding them for doing what everybody knows is the right thing to do, which takes us back to that article, as follows:
Just under half of the US is fully vaccinated, according to official data.
Speaking from the White House on Thursday, Mr Biden said that the new measures are a result of the highly contagious Delta variant’s spread, made worse by a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”.
“People are dying and will die who don’t have to die,” the president said.
Mr Biden added that the monetary incentive may seem unfair to already vaccinated Americans, but “we all benefit if we can get more people vaccinated”.
States would use money from the $1.9tn American Rescue Plan legislation to fund the incentives.
Mr Biden said that the federal government will be “fully reimbursing” small or medium-sized businesses that provide workers paid time off to get vaccinated.
The Democratic president also addressed theories, spreading mostly in conservative circles, that the jabs are unsafe.
He emphasised there “is nothing political” about the vaccines, which were developed and authorised under a Republican administration and further distributed under his.
end quotes
And what on earth does that have to do with anything?
Who authorized the vaccines is immaterial, just as is the fact of Joe Biden further distributing them, and what the **** do the worthless Democrats and Republicans have to do with any of this?
The issue is that people who have been vaccinated, whether they were bribed the $100 or not, are not safe to be around, according to the CDC, which tells us in their Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, that fully vaccinated people who get infected carry as much of the virus in their nose as unvaccinated people.

It just came over the news that Lindsey Graham, who has been “vaccinated,” has tested positive for COVID with a breakthrough infection!
Paul Plante says
Are Joe Biden and his pet infectious disease specialist selling us a bill of goods regarding these vaccines?
Seems so to me, anyway.
And if this were FACEBOOK, the THOUGHT CONTROL CENTER for America, this thread would not be running and these comments would not be allowed, because they don’t follow the official government line that the vaccines are real good for you and will prevent you from getting COVID, even though as we are seeing, they really won’t, which is something the Biden administration doesn’t want us saying.

Reuters just had an article on this subject detailing some recent studies entitled “Delta infections among vaccinated likely contagious; Lambda variant shows vaccine resistance in lab” by Nancy Lapid on August 2, 2021, to wit:
(Reuters) – The following is a roundup of some of the latest scientific studies on the novel coronavirus and efforts to find treatments and vaccines for COVID-19.
end quotes
The first study is on breakthrough infections in vaccinated people, to wit:
“Delta breakthrough infections likely contagious”
Among people infected by the Delta variant of the coronavirus, fully vaccinated people with “breakthrough” infections may be just as likely as unvaccinated people to spread the virus to others, new research suggests.
The higher the amount of coronavirus in the nose and throat, the more likely the patient will infect others.
In one Wisconsin county, after Delta became predominant, researchers analyzed viral loads on nose-and-throat swab samples obtained when patients were first diagnosed.
They found similar viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated patients, with levels often high enough to allow shedding of infectious virus.
“A key assumption” underlying current regulations aimed at slowing COVID-19 transmission “is that those who are vaccinated are at very low risk of spreading the virus to others,” said study coauthor Katarina Grande of Public Health Madison & Dane County in Madison, Wisconsin.
The findings, however, indicate “that vaccinated people should take steps to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus to others,” she added.

So, the “key assumption,” which is a political assumption not based on science, underlying current regulations aimed at slowing COVID-19 transmission, that being that “those who are vaccinated are at very low risk of spreading the virus to others,” is being proven by the science to be a false assumption.
The second study of interest is as follows:
“Third mRNA dose may boost antibody quantity, but not quality”
Among fully vaccinated people who never had COVID-19, getting a third dose of an mRNA vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna would likely increase levels of antibodies, but not antibodies that are better able to neutralize new virus variants, Rockefeller University researchers reported on Thursday on bioRxiv ahead of peer review.
They note that in COVID-19 survivors, the immune system’s antibodies evolve during the first year, becoming more potent and better able to resist new variants.
In 32 volunteers who never had COVID-19, they found that antibodies induced by mRNA vaccines did evolve between the first and second shots.
But five months later, vaccine-induced antibodies were “equivalent” to those seen after the second dose, with “little measurable improvement” in the antibodies’ ability to neutralize a broad variety of new variants, said coauthor Michel Nussenzweig.
Therefore, he said, giving those individuals a third dose of the same vaccine would likely result in higher levels of antibodies that remain less effective against variants.

Are you better off getting COVID and surviving, which is the majority of people, in terms of your immune system?
I certainly would say so, and the science appears to back me up, as it should since my determination itself is based on the science of how our innate and adaptive immune systems work to defeat an attack by a Corona virus.
And then we have the third study, which makes it quite clear that this virus is smarter than the people trying to defeat it:
“Lambda variant shows vaccine resistance”
The Lambda variant of the coronavirus, first identified in Peru and now spreading in South America, is highly infectious and more resistant to vaccines than the original version of the virus the emerged from Wuhan, China, Japanese researchers have found.
In laboratory experiments, they found that three mutations in Lambda’s spike protein, known as RSYLTPGD246-253N, 260 L452Q and F490S, help it resist neutralization by vaccine-induced antibodies.
Two additional mutations, T76I and L452Q, help make Lambda highly infectious, they found.
