EXMORE, VA. (June 23, 2017) – The Eastern Shore of Virginia Broadband Authority (ESVBA) named Robert Bridgham as Acting Director of the ESVBA in place of the former Executive Director, Nicholas Pascaretti.
“We are thankful for everything Nicholas has done during his time as our Director and wish him the best in his career,” says Elaine Meil, Chair of the ESVBA board. “Robert Bridgham has served us well since the earliest days of this initiative and we’re confident in his ability to lead the organization through our next strategic planning phase.”
Bridgham has served as Director of Network Engineering for the ESVBA since 2013 and provided consulting services to the Authority for three years prior to assuming that full-time position. Having served as a consultant during the original design/build phase of network construction, Bridgham brings historical context and seventeen years of telecommunications management experience to his new role.
“The ESVBA has accomplished a number of significant milestones under Nicholas Pascaretti’s leadership and I’m looking forward to continuing the organization’s commitment to improving the broadband landscape for all parties across Virginia’s Eastern Shore through this newly announced leadership opportunity,” Bridgham said.
On February 15, 2017, the ESVBA commissioned CTC Technology and Energy of Kensington, MD to update the organization’s strategic plan. The board does not plan to consider permanent candidates for the newly vacant permanent Executive Director position until that the plan is complete.
Like Bridgham, Pascaretti served as the ESVBA’s Director of Network Engineering before his appointment to the Executive Director role. Pascaretti left the ESVBA in order to pursue a new opportunity in his home state of New York.
Bridgham holds a B.S. in Integrative Studies from Marist College and several professional certifications.
