The Eastern Shore of Virginia Master Gardener Program is excited to announce the extension of the application period for the 2025 Master Gardener Basic Training Class. There are still openings available for those interested in joining this enriching program. The Master Gardener program is designed for individuals passionate about gardening and eager to expand their horticultural knowledge while giving back to the community. Participants will receive in-depth training on various topics, including plant biology, pest management, soil health, and sustainable gardening practices. Upon completing the course, graduates are expected to volunteer a set number of hours to support local educational gardening programs and community initiatives.

- Program Start Date: January 15, 2025
- Course Format: Weekly in-person sessions at Eastern Shore AREC in Painter, VA, featuring expert-led lectures and hands-on learning.
- Eligibility: Open to all residents of the Eastern Shore of Virginia with an interest in gardening and a commitment to community service.
