On Friday, June 16, the Eastern Shore Community College Foundation will host the 29th annual H.B. Rew, Jr. Golf tournament to benefit the ESCC Foundation. The tournament will be held at Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club. The format is Captain’s Choice and tee time is at 1:00 with a shotgun start. A buffet lunch will be provided with beverages available throughout the day. A putting contest will be back again this year with a $200.00 prize. Registration and lunch will begin that Friday at 11:30am.
Following the tournament, the Foundation will host an awards reception in the ESYCC clubhouse to recognize the tournament prize winners.
The fee for the tournament is $100 per player and includes greens fees, carts, driving range, lunch and the awards reception. Players may sign up individually or in foursomes. Teams will be flighted according to total team handicap.
Sponsorship is a vital part of the tournament. Each year, the Foundation supports more and more students, programs and activities. The tournament is our largest fund-raiser and these funds are more important than ever. We thank businesses and individuals for considering being a sponsor at the $1000, $500, $250, or $100 level. Descriptions of each tier and the necessary forms are available at our website, es.vccs.edu, as are forms for player and team registration. Player registration and sponsorships are both due by Friday, June 9th.
The H.B. Rew Golf Tournament is a significant fundraiser for the ESCC Foundation, and continues to make opportunities possible for Shore students.
