The following is a film Directed by Mike Plante about our good friend Paul Plante.
Post-Vietnam, Paul bought a trailer for his family to live in. Many bad winters made the mobile home unlivable, so he took matters into his own hands and started to build a house – around the trailer. He never made any blueprints.
30 years, 4 floors, and 100 windows later, the house is almost done.
A portrait of a 20th-century man, redemption of the spirit and the house as a teacher.

The Mirror loves this film, as it captures our friend Paul Plante. While the Mirror provides the copy, it is Paul who provides the metadata, context, and unique perspective.
Amazing !
This is such an interesting story. So glad that you shared it.
Paul,
Your film is incredible. It has given to me new insight to the Man that I have not met personally have but in our writings haves shared a certain simpatico.
By the way, were those 60’s era Slipknot Leather Combat Boots that you were wearing in the film?
I suffer, or am afflicted, Scrapple, dude, with what is known as a rogue consciousness as a result of my VEET NAM experience, or maybe I always had it, and VEET NAM brought it out.
Anyway, a rogue consciousness such as I am afflicted with is a type of awareness that is outside of the norm or not in line with social and cultural expectations.
Poor., poor pitiful me!
It can be a state of mind where an individual challenges the status quo, questions authority, and thinks critically about the world around them, which in Joe Biden’s world makes us pariah dogs!
Rogue consciousness such as I am afflicted with may involve unconventional ideas, behaviors, or beliefs that challenge Joe Biden’s reality.
This type of consciousness is often associated with visionaries who are willing to take risks, think independently, and push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable.
While such a mindset can be associated with rebellion or nonconformity, it is also an essential element of creativity and innovation.
By questioning established ways of thinking, individuals can uncover new possibilities and challenge conventions, leading to new ideas, products, and ways of living.
Overall, rogue consciousness is a mindset that values independence, critical thinking, and creativity, challenging outdated traditions, established cultural norms, and other beliefs that prevent one from living in harmonized alignment with one’s passions and purpose.
Scrapple, dude, thank you for your comments, and I thank Paul Galloway and Suzanne Hallberg as well for theirs, and I especially thank Wayne Creed and the CCM for running the film, and my nephew for having made it in the first place to capture the thoughts of one of many returning Viet Nam combat veterans to this country after our time over there was done.
All I can say is that it is a story of how I see the world, though my own personal lens, shaped by me personal experiences.
And Scrapple, dude, you do have an eye for small details as to the boots – yes, they would have been.
