  1. A little tip as you organize an underground.

As bad as the present regime is, what you really have to watch out for are the “good Germans”.

Your next door neighbor who you might not consider a friend, but you will have a conversation with over the fence on subjects far from national politics, such as gardening or the fishing forecast or the sorry state of the CC town council.

Make no mistake, these people will help you up into the box car when the time comes.

So make sure you know who you’re talking to, I mean REALLY sure. Brush up on the French, Norwegian and Italian resistance operations from WWII.

And for God’s sake find a different way to communicate other than the internet.

  2. An organized underground ? I do not think we are that point. Nowhere near it. Let cooler heads prevail. I don’t think we should hide in any way, shape, or form. That is not any answer at all right now. One step at a time. I believe the best response is still free speech. Lots of it. Hiding in Joe Biden’s basement deserved to be ridiculed. Remember CNN’s Cuomo ? The clown princes of TV’s America. Reducing our own voices to create an underground is better ? Keep it above board. It’s healthier for all concerned. Speak your mind and spread your word proudly and with a smile. Stand opposed. Toe to toe and face to face. President Trump suggested the same for The Capitol Building. Just don’t cross the line like the idiots did. Take one on the chin. Take two. Laugh and scoff in their face. The idiots weren’t told to but got emotional and stupid. They just weren’t clear in their own minds. Speak your mind and go home and regroup. The lies from the other side are getting bigger and showing themselves more clearly every day. The Lincoln Project just had their pants pulled down. Governor Cuomo is a covid decision making and Emmy award winning hero ? Governor Murphy ? How is Chicago doing ? Is the recall movement done yet in California ? The 2nd Impeachment was a farce and waste of valuable time. Dems are not instead trying to fix the children/school problem ? The remote learning problem has to explode. The signs are all around us. The corrupt media just won’t put it all on the billboard. Should I keep going ? Hunter Biden’s day is coming. What will that do to Joe ? When clueless Kamala is put in charge ? Where is Nancy then headed ? Just what is the complete lack of experienced Pete Buttigieg going to accomplish ? Where is Wall St. headed after the Game Stop fiasco ? Reddit exposing that farce. Yellen, Biden’s new paid off manipulator will be exposed. Immigration is quickly becoming a maelstrom with quite the vortex. Dems are losing control of covid vaccinations while still comically trying to blame Trump who is no longer our leader, but they do so because they don’t have a leader. The French are telling the world that the Paris Accord does not work and we just rejoined the Paris Accord. They are failing at each turn and sending us into too many dark corners. My hope is still that we are turning the corner. I am imagining myself to be sitting at the dock in the darkest hour just before the dawn waiting to get to work and wearing a sh*t eating grin. Chin up.

    1. Waiting for them to fail isn’t going to happen. I’m sure you’ve noticed that in fact, they’re failing up. Not due to their superior intelligence but to the ignorance of the general public.

I have no faith the ship rights itself this time.

      1. My comment on this insightful, revolutionary article is long overdue. The author of the post and Mr. Otton are correct. The number of adherents of the Deep State appear to outnumber the rest of us by a small margin. It is beyond time to subvert this Deep State by every available means–going underground, using Alinskyite low-key mockery, and opposing and boycotting all people and groups, whether in government or business or otherwise, who support the Deep State. Look only at one example of what one person representing the Deep State can do: Some otherwise obscure race-hustler named Oliver Bennett can use his privileged position as a State-backed “oppressed minority” to con an otherwise sensible majority of County Supervisors to agree to remove a historic, innocuous monument from an already rather bare area. He needs to be shunned and boycotted by those who understand what is required to create a prosperous county. I know little about Northampton County’s economics except that it seems, with a few exceptions, to be a rather poor area, bare of people and of productive business. I live in Accomack County, which has its own problems, but it doesn’t seem plagued with a bunch of race hustlers and low-information leftists (the misnamed CBES is one), as is Northampton. I realize that I have deviated greatly from the author’s subject, but the economic maladies of Northampton, which was once a prosperous county, exemplify the damage that a hoard of ignorant social justice warriors, abetted by adherents all over the US, can do. The ship WILL NOT right itself unless we actively subvert the activities it pursues daily.

        1. Don, here’s the problem and it’s an insidious one:

My daughter and most of her friends are staunch Conservatives, upholding gun rights, anti-abortion and for small government. Pretty much every single conservative value you can name. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of the next generation holds to these principles

          However.

When I strongly suggest they drop FB, Instagram and the rest of the Liberal run social media complex, they look at me dubiously and say “yeah, I suppose but,” (some lame excuse follows having to do with kid pics, music selections and the convenience of Alexa.)

I’m saying Liberal social media is in our culture tighter than a tick on a hound.

I don’t see a way out other than separation, possibly by states’ nullification of federal laws, peaceful secession or civil war.

One thing we all need to remember. There are NO blue states. There are blue cities surrounded by a sea of red in every state, so I’m not sure how the Left wins if the Right unites.

Problem for the right is our adherence to individualism and our commitment to mind our own business.

Since WWII, the Left figured out how to weaponized those values against us.

Which, if you study communist history, is exactly what Khrushchev purportedly said, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”

Surprisingly, he did leave a tidbit for us too, “If you live among wolves you have to act like a wolf.”

The Democrats’ vindictive actions pertaining to Mr. Trump indicate just how “wolf like” they’ve become.

Thus, we need to grow some fangs of our own. Clearly today’s Republican party is NOT going to do that but it does seem like Mr. Trump is going to rectify the situation.

  3. p,s, In unduly focusing on Northampton’s economic and political problems, I failed to mention the most important substantiation of the primary editorial and Mr. Otton’s comment. The ubiquity and deep permeation of the CANCEL CULTURE nationwide (in Virginia, the ruination of the once-majestic Monument Avenue down to the threatened clearing out of Eastville’s little monument) are obvious. The widespread willingness of a strong, toxic element bent on erasing the basics of US history will not go away. The ship will not right itself. It’s time to move into effective, very serious underground opposition.

  4. Mr. Otton, your latest comment, particularly its broaching of the idea of State nullification of federal statutes and of our swimming in a blue social milieu, is brilliant and needs no coda; nevertheless, I will share a comment from one of my facebook correspondents (yes, I’m guilty, but in extreme moderation), a person with the delightful name of Hugh Fitzhugh, regarding the nature of what passes as a country. He says, “The US Constitution lasted 14 years [after 1789]. Marbury v. Madison [allocating unforeseen extraordinary interpretive powers to the U.S. Supreme Court] completely rewrote it and undermined the political theory behind it. The Republic limped along for another 60 years, but it died at Appamattox. Then, we became an empire [Spanish-American War; entry into World War I, the “War to end all wars”, which led to an even more disastrous war 20 years later; the Korean War, then Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq]. kept united by federal government expansion, foreign war trophies, and a plutocracy, And even that died with the passage of the 1965 Immigration Act. Now, the country is nothing more than a shopping mall. And, still, we cling to a crappy piece of paper that hasn’t mattered since 1803.” I wish I could claim credit for this analysis. Basta–I’m out.
