The world what is is not the world what was, or it will not stay the same as it is right now, so in a lot of ways, the conversation above is an ephemera, something of no lasting significance, but seemingly of huge and great significance now, my God, don’t touch that subject with as ten-foot pole or you will offend someone’s feelings, and we can’t have that, we simply can’t have that, it’s not the right thing to do!

There are victims out there and we need to be very sensitive to their needs, and to be there for them, when they arrive, which reminds me of some dude from The Congo, of all places, who was in some migrant camp down in South America somewhere, and the dude was bitching to the news that nobody was there for them with food and water and shelter waiting, which made me wonder why this dude from The Congo thought that when he came to South America, there would be people waiting like slaves to serve him and fulfill his needs.

Yes, it’s a very strange world that now surrounds us – a breeding experiment gone awry, perhaps, but in the end, for whatever causative factors, it is what it now is, and it is ours to endeavor to persevere. or not and give up the ghost, because by my reckoning, we’re only now just entering the storm, and the big breakers are yet out ahead – a good time to be pondering what it means to batten down hatches.
