In 2015 Citizens for Central Park (CCP) raised $30,000 to replace all of the wooden playground items in the park. CCP has also received $10,000 from Paul & Maria Henderson to improve the Children’s Playground. An additional $6,000 was raised thru Facebook.
Some funds were used to replace the Zip-Line in 2021, and a GaGa Ball Game Pit was purchased and installed by CCP volunteers.
Tuesday, Town Council approved more improvements to the playground using funds remaining from the Henderson family, as well as funds raised from CCP’s Margarita sales and concert-related donations over the past few years.
The Town approved the CCP’s current proposal to spend $10,000 to purchase and install a Climbing Wall and sensory-type playground activities.
