  1. Wayne, why have you put your name on this article when it was obviously researched and written by someone else?

Note: Get submissions all the time, but will publish and take the heat as needed. I believe this story was comprised of two separate submissions that were culled together. On this platform, when I hit publish, the person logged in is tagged as the author, which is why, even when we use by-lines for folks like Paul Plante or Chas Cornweller, Wayne Creed will still be listed as the author. Around here, people still like to remain anonymous. A lot of the stuff pertaining to the Bay, fisheries, etc. is many times sent in by email. We just try and edit it into something easy, fun, and hopefully interesting to read.

  2. Well, lots of speculation could take this in many directions.
Not wanting the rest of the world’s doctors to get near the source to help could certainly be thought of as a demonstration of the Chinese desire to shroud the origins of the virus.
We sure could easily take that as another reason to make us realize the Chinese are our biggest threat.
We have decades of history and proof they do not deal with us honestly.
Which could also make us wonder just how should we really deal with that government ?
With an election coming in a few months do we want a naïve socialist dealing with the Chinese ?
What a tangled web we weave these days, eh ?
