Jerry Murphy has been named as the interim treasurer, replacing Debra Pocock. Pocock announced her retirement effective at the end of August.
Having served as the Assistant Treasurer under Mrs. Pocock, Murphy is poised to seamlessly take over the responsibilities of the treasurer’s office,
Town Staff has expressed confidence in Murphy’s abilities—having worked in the Finance Department, he gained valuable experience helping the team navigate through complex financial landscapes, strategizing and implementing initiatives that have positively impacted the Town’s bottom line.
As the new interim treasurer, Murphy’s responsibilities will encompass overseeing all financial aspects of the Town, from budget management to investment strategies. He will also play a pivotal role in maintaining the Town’s financial stability.
The Town agrees to the appointment, with the understanding that in perhaps 9 to 12 months, they will reevaluate the situation. If things work out, the Town would then consider moving Adrian into the permanent role.

Explain - what was better back then and what is bothering you about now. Be specific.
Damn shame what you people have done to Cape Charles.
Common sense is often overruled by profits, commericial interests, cart rentals, etc. The town must also "appear" to be "concerned"…
If they had any common sense, they would know that golf carts belong on golf courses.
You're right Thomas. The developers and their "friends" are cashing in and pretty much control the future of the Shore.
