Northampton County Education Foundation has awarded Khalil Brooks a $500 scholarship to help with the cost of attending Virginia State University, this fall semester. Khalil is planning to study Criminal Justice. Ms. Brooks maintained a 3.77 GPA while attending Northampton High School and participated in Girls Basketball and Volleyball. She was also a member of the Student Government and National Honor Society. Her application essay described her career goal of becoming a private detective and how a good education would assist her in accomplishing that goal.
The Foundation makes an annual scholarship award to a Northampton High School graduate pursuing a post secondary education.
