Kiggans Named One of the Most Effective Lawmakers in Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Congresswoman Jen Kiggans (VA-02) was named one of the most effective lawmakers in the 118^th Congress. According to a new report released from Center for Effective Lawmaking on the 118th Congress (2023-2025), Congresswoman Kiggans was named among the top five freshman lawmakers in the House of Representatives who exceeded expectations.

Congresswoman Kiggans came to Washington in 2023 on a mission to deliver commonsense results for Virginia’s Second District, and that is exactly what she will continue to do throughout her second term in the 119^th Congress.

As a former Navy helicopter pilot, geriatric nurse practitioner, and mom of four, Congresswoman Kiggans brings a real-world perspective to Washington and is determined to provide Virginians with the strong, independent leadership they deserve. Serving on the Armed Services, Veterans’ Affairs, and Natural Resources Committees, she is committed to enacting positive change through meaningful legislation, civility, and competence.
