VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – September 20th marked the first day of early voting in Virginia, and House Democratic Nominee, Missy Cotter Smasal, has been working her way across Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. Her first stop on Friday morning was near the Virginia Beach Registrar’s Office for a rally with local candidates and officials to build upon voter mobilization efforts for this historic election year.
Saturday, Cotter Smasal greeted voters in Suffolk at the local Democratic Committee’s annual fundraiser and met with volunteers and supporters door-knocking.
Her next stop was the Eastern Shore where she joined the congregations of two churches. Following her morning visits, Cotter Smasal spoke at an Accomack Together We Win Rally and the potluck on Chincoteague alongside Senator Tim Kaine to galvanize voters.
