  1. Oh Wayne, you have such a negative view of modern society. LOL These globalists want Americans to learn that their reality is what they make it, and we should learn to appreciate a lifestyle just like that too. We can tweak reality and live in a shoebox, distort it and have a gym membership and believe we are living the pure life in our conditioned air. Thank The Good Lord for AOC and her new green deal because the Paris Accord will one day free us from needing conditioned air. Obama and Biden and Kerry will all be living in their waterfront Martha’s Vineyard mansions laughing at their jokes about the any minute now sea rise, and we will be squinting out a nailed shut window overlooking an alley. You got a problem with that ? Giving the government all my extra tax dollars I will one day gain freedom from my Tokyo style life. All I have to do is condition myself to believe that. The more I hide with my cats and appreciate the ammonia in the air the less I will need my non existent clock on the wall, because I don’t want to know that I may have thought it’s 5 0’clock somewhere, it’s really an 11 a.m. martini. A calendar ? Who needs one ? Does it make a difference if this is 2022 or 1984? The saddest part of it all is that from the millennials I am meeting and get a chance to talk to, they think this is all inevitable. Alexa listening to all your words and converting it to marketing, and your lifestyle for you is being determined and coming your way. All aboard ?

    1. The most free one can feel is when they do not know what day of the week it is. I have experienced this bliss for very long periods. It is the only time that I have felt truly free in this lifetime.

  2. Yeah, you’re probably right about the Millenials, but then again, women have been fooling men long before the internet.

I have an ex-wife to prove it. 🙂

  3. And to think this cover seems to have been published on Pearl Harbour Day. Does anyone suppose the millennial babe would even know a thing about that?

    1. Good point young lady. Actually I think the magazine answers your question for you. Consider the fact that New Yorker Magazine’s office is in the current World Trade Center. It appears that none of this issue’s articles mention that Day of Infamy. You would think there would be a kinship with the other horrendous surprise attack on America and it would be mentioned. So, yeah I am sure their modern heroine is blissfully unaware all probably due to the fact it does not come up in her personal Alexa algorithms for the day

  4. Oh Wayne, honey, what do you look like? Please, enlighten us! Are you skinny-fat? Do you go to the doctor for prescriptions?

Note: I’m gorgeous, witty, funny, sexy, with a super-cute face and perfect body, and most important of all, very humble. All my prescriptions are filled at the liquor store.

  5. 1. Good job offering no solutions
    2. “flock to the Democratic party” There are plenty of skinnyfat, obese, and ambitionless people these days of every political bent or age. If I had a dime for every fat old Republican on the Eastern Shore, I would have a lot of dimes. As for “soyboys” You probably eat the same amount of soy as most people-it is a filler in innumerable processed foods(a problem, of course, enabled by our gross system of corn and soy subsidies.)
    3. What generation raised young people to be this way? What generation invented addicting technologies and created these conditions of modern life? It was not the youths. In addition, it is not just the younger generation addicted to screens and becoming “masturbation machines.” The older population simply had the opportunity to see life before many of the harmful inventions of modernity.

I would completely agree that modern life is destroying many peoples’ potentials. These are valid points. But your whining about it here is so unproductive. Why not suggest a resurgence in community programs? Engage in activism to try and improve the general welfare of your countrymen? Have you even attempted to influence your fellow citizens positively with your concerns, Wayne Creed? You’re proving to the defeatist one here, by offering no productive solutions and blaming peoples’ malaise completely on themselves. Sure, personal responsibility is a factor. Not everything going wrong in peoples’ lives is the fault of others. But again, you offer no solutions to this malaise that plagues your beloved country, and create artificial generational and political conflicts that don’t even exist. Please email me, I would like to discuss with you over a call why I believe you are incredibly wrong in this piece. I just hope you’re not scared of hearing another opinion.

    1. Hollandsworth? I had an old music teacher that got me expelled from school for two weeks for laughing when Stanley Owens said “Funk You Mrs Hollandsworth” . She lied and told the Principle that we both said it in unison. Her mistake caused me to be abused by my mom for two weeks. I wish I had called her on it when I got to be an adult. If she is alive, there is still time.

    2. Sounds like your job with the Coon-Man has gone to your big head. Don’t forget who you really are and where you really came from. We have not forgotten.

      1. Check out the email address. hollandsworthlegacy@ Legacy? Wow that last name has gone right to their big heads. Small fish in a very small pond with huge heads, literally.

    1. Funny, they get their hackles up if you call them a ‘Colored Person’ but ‘Person of Color’ is fine and encouraged. Truly a lost group of people. It is all about them all the time. Not!

  6. IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE!

    HEED WELL!

For national security purposes, on January 20, 2021, the marketplace of ideas in America will be turned over to Mark Zuckerburg as Minister of Truth in America and FACEBOOK and TWITTER to control what can be said in America and what will be said in America to deny insurrectionists opposed to Joe Biden and seditionists who won’t do what Joe Biden orders them to do from having a voice in American politics because national security concerns demand it.

    1. I have a simple reply for your post! Many years ago there was a song with perfect words for todays world that I have heeded for at least 60 years! I do not use facebook, twitter or any of the other crackpot sites!

this is for you facebook, twitter, etc!
“Got Along Without You Before I Met You,
Gonna Get Along Without You Now!

  7. And yes, I know, I know, I’m sounding like an elitist, here, saying that I believe that we really do need someone strong and wise above us right now at this time of our nation’s chaos and tragedy to monitor what gets said and to determine what cannot be said, because as we have all just seen, to our shock and horror, democracy is just too dangerous right now in this hour of our nation’s need!

When people are allowed to think for themselves, as we all saw the other day, chaos is the result!

So what people are allowed to think has to be controlled!

And of all the people on the planet right now to trust that vital task to is Mark Zuckerburg, because unlike us, he went to Harvard (confession in the interests of complete transparency: I didn’t), and unlike us, he has a lot of money.

So if anybody should be in charge of what the people of America can hear to influence what they think about to deter insurrection and sedition against the regime of Joe Biden, it should be Mark Zuckerburg.

And besides, he’s already doing it, so that will be no change, at all, other than formally awarding him the title.
