And here it now is, Sunday afternoon, 10 November 2024, with Election Day 2024 now firmly behind us and thank heaven for that, say I, because I had about truly reached the outer limit of my endurance for all the political BULL**** coming our way from HARRIS/WALZ, and what a week it has been since last Tuesday, what with poor emotionally distraught soy boy/girlie man Jimmy Kimmel of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” of ABC dressed on black after the election and about to start bawling like a newborn baby on national TV (cue, Jimmy Kimmel Chokes Back Tears After Trump’s Election Win https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSMsdfY5B8s ) because HARRIS/WALZ were shown by the American people to be major league losers, and my goodness, people, who in their right mind can be surprised by that, given that just before she was UN-DEMOCRATICALLY anointed as Joe Biden’s chosen successor, as if Joe Biden were a Roman emperor instead of a US president, Kamala Harris was only seen very favorably by 16 percent of surveyed Americans according to Statista, which put her in the same league as Dick Cheney, who ended his vice presidential tenure as a deeply unpopular figure in American politics with an approval rating of 13 percent, and she already was a loser from 2019, so talk about the Democrats trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear (be unable to turn something inferior into something of value), there was a clear-cut case of it on steroids.

    And despite what Michelle Obama had to say about it at a HARRIS/WALZ rally in Kalamazoo, or “Kamalazoo” as Michelle called it (see Instagram https://www.instagram.com/brutamerica/reel/DBrKOPnPmHm/ ), as if anybody would actually listen to Michelle Obama for advice and guidance on who to vote for, for US president, Kamala Harris and Timmy Walz were never viable presidential or vice presidential candidates, and only s0meone living in LA-LA-LAND like Michelle with her thousand dollar shoes, or someone seriously deluded whose wits had long since departed from their brain pan could have mistaken them for such!

    To the contrary, they were caricatures (a picture, description, or imitation of a person in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect).

    Take Timmy Walz, for example, seen here in his manly garb ( https://www.c-span.org/video/?539206-1/governor-tim-walz-campaigns-volant-pennsylvania ) as if Timmy was just back from hunting moose or grizzly bears, as he campaigned on October 15, 2024 in Volant, Pennsylvania, which appearance immediately brought to mind a comparison of Timmy with the venerable Elmer Fudd hunting the elusive Bugs Bunny (cue Youtube Compilation of Elmer Fudd using his gun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrslcxTszV0 ).

    And after his hilarious attempt to load a shotgun (cue Youtube Tim Walz Embarrasses Himself Going Shooting, Can’t Load A Shotgun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhpiCVYfj_M ), who other than a Jimmy Kimmel possibly take Timmy Walz seriously?

    And my goodness, people, as weird and bizarre as Timmy was, his whacky wife Gwen was even worse (cue Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz declares it’s time to ‘turn the page’ on Trump in speech https://www.foxnews.com/video/6361989106112 ).

    Apparently, Gwen didn’t realize when she was talking about “turning the page,” that it had been BIDEN/HARRIS in power these last four years, not Trump, so the American people did in fact follow her advice by turning the page on BIDEN/HARRIS by thoroughly rejecting HARRIS/WALZ as more of the same.

    Talk about people being out of touch with reality, Gwen Walz is up near the top of that list, if not perched on the pinnacle!

    And then, there was Kamala herself, seen here in what was determined by many in America to be one of her best moments on the campaign trail, bar none – Kamala Harris stuns crowd to awkward silence at rally in Michigan, The Telegraph https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1hRK66yzUo .

    And we were supposed to think that she was somehow presidential material with that silly, juvenile performance?

    And how about the glowing endorsement she received from HIP-HOP star Cardi B, and no, I don’t have a clue as to who Cardi B. is or why anybody would vote for Kamala Harris after listening to her endorsement , which went as follows according to the Daily Mail article titled “Cardi B unleashes expletive-laden rant over criticism for bungling speech at Kamala rally” by Melissa Koenig on 4 November 2024, as follows:

    Cardi B has unleashed an expletive-laden rant over criticism for her bungling speech at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris.

    The rapper went on to tell her followers they would still hear why the WAP singer supports the vice president for the nation’s highest office.

    ‘Y’all gonna hear what the f*** I had to say and I’m proud of myself,’ she said, telling her followers in a follow-up video that she has ‘gotta give myself more kudos cause sometimes I’m a little hard on myself.

    ‘But like yo, I really did that s***.”

    “Like a b*** was really stripping on poles and all, and I’m here.’

    She went on to say that after meeting Harris, she realized ‘like yo, she means f***ing business, she’s a f***ing boss.

    ‘And she’s really determined to win this s***,’ Cardi B said.

    ‘She’s moving like she gotta prove a point.’

    ‘Once a woman feel like she gotta prove a point, we’re gonna f***ing step on it, and that’s how she was acting.’

    ‘I f*** with you,’ the rapper said of the vice president.

    ‘I f*** with her because she a real b****.’

    ‘She’s not acting like she don’t see it.’

    ‘Y’all need to understand she was waiting for her turn.’

    ‘She was studying, she couldn’t do much, but now she finna do it.’

    ‘And she promised me, and she looked at me in my eye like a gangster.’

    ‘She was like, “Watch, I’m gonna change this s*** the f*** up, I promise you.”‘

    ‘I was like, “Oh yo, she’s a little gangster,”‘ the rapper recounted.

    ‘And I believe in her.’

    The vice president has received a slew of celebrity endorsements, with only one day to go before the election.

    Among those whose endorsements she was able to secure were Eminem, footballer Travis Kelce and Leonardo DiCaprio.

    Several actors have even filmed commercials supporting her, including Billy Eichner and Will Ferrell, and more recently Harrison Ford.

  2. And let me come back here and say to make it patently clear that being against HARRIS/WALZ in no way, shape or manner means that I am or was for Trump.

    I was for Tulsi Gabbard.

    But that is history, and Trump is the president-elect, and given the election results, he was clearly perceived as the lesser of two evils, and that is that – American history was made and now we all have to live with it, except, this being a highly divided America, there are people out there who not only won’t live with it (cue Anti-Trump Protests Erupt Across US From New York City To Seattle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKSjIA73-s4 ), but instead, are already getting violent about it (see Aljazeera “Protests against Donald Trump’s win turn violent” https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/11/11/protests-against-donald-trumps-win-turn-violent ) as they are egged on to destruction by such television notables as the soy boy/girlie man Jimmy Kimmel and Sunny Hostin of ABC’s “The View,” who is spewing this weird, inane garbage on national television (cue CRYBABY Sunny Hostin loses it over TRUMP win – The VIEW in MOURNING @ 9:24 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP2yQV7MY7c ) that as a result of Trump winning, her daughter now has less rights (yes, people, she actually did say that on national television @ 9:41), which has to be one of the most stupid, inane, and bizarre charges to come down the pike ever in the history of network televisi0n, and get this people, Sunny Hostin is a lawyer who is billed by ABC as a “legal expert,” so how is that for gaslighting people!

    If ABC’s Sunny Hostin is somehow a “legal expert” with that bizarre comment about her daughter n0ow having less rights because HARRIS/WALZ went down to defeat, as they should have, then I know of a couple of neighborhood dogs that are Rhodes scholars!

    I mean, come on here, people – how on earth could it be that Sunny Hostin’s daughter now has less rights when BIDEN/HARRIS is still in power, and will be until January 20, 2025, and absolutely nothing else has changed in this country?

    And yet, as was said in the video above, she, Sunny Hostin, is talking that **** to millions of people out there, she is influencing the actions of those so weak-witted and downright stupid and uninformed that they don’t know that you don’t lose any rights the day after an election whose outcome you didn’t happen to like, and in my opinion as a LOYAL AMERICAN citizen over seventy years of age is that ABC’s “legal expert” Sunny Hostin is intentionally provoking violence and disorder in this country, which is highly irresponsible behavior on her part, as well as the part of ABC which broadcasts that horse**** from Sunny Hostin to the world.

    And here, let’s take a break and cut to station identification, and when we come back, we’ll have Sunny, who really should be called “cloudy with violent squalls,” running down and insulting white women and Hispanic men, so stay tuned and don’t touch that dial!

      To the contrary, simply the reflections of an older LOYAL American combat veteran, like yourself, on an election just gone by, in the form of an analytical analysis of how this everyday American citizen, who like yourself has lived through many campaigns and many elections, sees the SPIN, CRASH and BURN of HARRIS/WALZ – an after action report, if you will, for the sake of posterity, since there always is a tomarrow yet to come.

      And it gives me a chance to sink my teeth into these Democrat talking heads like whiney baby Jimmy Kimmel, who according to his published bio was never a veteran, which would work to be a benefit to those were actually were veterans at that time when for the good of the country, he chose to not serve as a way of keeping our troops safe from someb0dy like him who simply was too emotionally frail to be able to carry his weight in a combat situation, or even training, for that matter, and the air-headed “Cloudy Day with Rain” Hostin of ABC for what I consider to be reckless speech on national TV for no other purpose than to incite acts of violence against OUR GOVERNMENT and OUR DEMOCRACY, which produced a result they don’t like, and so they are lashing out, and I in my turn am calling them out for doing so, courtesy of that GRAND PALLIDIUM of OUR LIBERTY, the venerable Cape Charles Mirror, without which people like myself would be voiceless, so it has nothing to do with Kamala Harris, or Timmy Walz, and everything to do with the NATIONAL DIALOGUE the day after the election.

      You and I took an oath to defend OUR CONSTITUTION against DOMESTIC ENEMIES like soy boy/girlie man Jimmy Kimmel and this brainless lawyerette and ABC “LEGAL EXPERT” Sunny Hostin, and this is how I choose to do it, with non-violence, by calling them out and heaping opprobrium on them along with ridicule and contempt.

McMaster, to wit:

    Ah, yes, people an Age of Innocence here in America, and I was one of those people back then who did believe that the Washington government and the media, whether television or the newspapers, were in fact telling us the truth, when in fact, we were being buried in a concerted series of lies, and back then, if you were a rural person like myself, that being an age where there was no internet (Al Gore hadn’t invented it yet) and no cell phones, there was no way to research the matter and to debunk the lies, so we were stuck with them such as the DOMINO THOERY (be scared, people, be very, very scared, because if our boys don’t stop them over there, it won’t be Panama Red your woman is up in bed with, it’ll be some Viet Cong, and you’ll be lucky if you get to share the dog house with the dog)!

    So off to Viet Nam people like myself went, and the rest is history.

    On February 27, 2018, the face of Walter Cronkite, the anchorman for the CBS Evening News for 19 years, from 1962 to 1981, came on television, this after he made a special reporting trip to Vietnam, to pronounce the war a deadlock, telling his audience of millions that the war could not be won (cue Walter Cronkite calls for the U.S. to get out of Vietnam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn2RjahTi3M ), and thirty-three (33) days after that, Lyndon Baines Johnson announced that he would not run for re-election.

    But for people like myself back then, that was all immaterial, because we were Viet Nam bound, whether the war, based on lies as it was, could be won or not!

    And America’s AGE of INNOCENCE came to an end, just like that.

    And the lies never stopped!

    To the contrary, as we all have just witnessed during this campaign cycle, the lies have just kept coming and coming and coming, especially about Joe Biden’s seriously deteriorated state of mental health, and despite the end of the election cycle, they continue to come!

    And to me, a LOYAL American citizen who is neither a Democrat nor a Republican, we as citizens of this country have a clear duty to stand up to those lies, and call them out!

    Hence this thread!

It has been my experience in life that there are times when the stream of consciousness comes to a cosmic rock in the stream and parts such that one branch then ends up in an eddy or whirlpool, and such has been the case with me with respect to the statement above of McMaster that Vietnam divided American society and inflicted upon the United States one of the greatest political traumas since the Civil War.

    What I became hung up on was the statement that that “Vietnam divided American society,” with me arguing with myself, but did it, and then, how did it, because during what I call the “Viet Nam times” in America, America was indeed a nation that was very much divided, with parents disowning their male offspring who did not want to go to Viet Nam, or even serve in the military, while others fled this country for Canada.

    So, was it Viet Nam itself that divided this country as it did?

    But how could Viet Nam do that, when back then, I doubt many people, including myself, didn’t even know where it was, or why it should be any concern of ours?

    Consider, as hard as it is to do for a younger generation that has never been without an I-phone or access to TikTok and SnapChat and Bumble and X and FaceBook, that this is a time in American history when we were largely totally disconnected as a people, given that cell phones did not exist, and computers did not exist and the internet did not exist.

    All there was, was the television, whose content we had no control over, the newspapers, whose content we had no control over, and the radio, whose content we had no control over, or rather, the c0ntrol we did have was the on-off switch and the dial, or leave the newspaper on the shelf, unread.

    And what we did not have back then, as well, was this plethora of talking heads that exist today, like Sunny Hoston the alleged and supposed “legal expert” on ABC who is doing her best to divide us, the soy boy/girlie man Jimmy Kimmel, who like Sunny is doing his best to divide us, and all of their cohorts who are doing their best to divide us, and still, during the Viet Nam times, we did manage to become very divided, a nation very much at war with itself, as it has once again become today.

    What we did not have back then was the inflammatory rhetoric that we have today from these same talking heads, which inflammatory rhetoric I personally find quite dangerous.

    Consider this with respect to this inflammatory rhetoric we are confronted with today in this country that is definitely intended to divide us worse than was the case back in the Viet Nam times, this from the Daily Caller article titled “KJP Accuses Reporter Of Being ‘Unfair’ As She Asks About White House Previously Calling Trump A ‘Threat To Democracy’” by Nicole Silverio on 8 November 2024, to wit:

    White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre snapped at Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich at the White House press briefing Thursday, accusing the reporter of twisting her words about President-elect Donald Trump.

    Heinrich contrasted the White House’s warnings that Trump is a “threat to democracy” and claims that he intends to strip Americans of their rights if he is reelected, with President Joe Biden telling the public on Thursday that Americans will be okay.

    “This administration messaged to millions of Americans that they’re gonna wake up the day after the election if Trump won and have their rights stripped away, that democracy would crumble, and the president said today that we’re gonna be okay.”

    “So how do you square that?” Heinrich asked.

    Heinrich then asked if the White House can “lead by example” after making people fear for their lives due to their warnings, leading Jean-Pierre to accuse her of being “unfair.”

    “So lead by example is the message to people who are fearful based on what the messaging was about the stakes?” Heinrich asked.

    The White House has repeatedly accused Trump and his supporters of being “extremist threats to our democracy” and has attempted to outline the dangers if the now-president-elect served a second term.

    Jean-Pierre said that the White House’s official position is that Trump is a “fascist” during an Oct. 23 briefing.

    That, people, is incredible, which takes us back in time in America t0 the late 1800’s, another time in this country’s history when we were again highly divided:

    Roscoe Conkling of Utica, was a dominating figure in American National politics during the last half of the Nineteenth Century.

    In 1876, Senator Conkling was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

    He was unsuccessful.

    Rutherford B. Hayes being nominated and elected Senator Conkling advocated the nomination of General Grant for a third term in 1880.

    Conkling’s party opponent, James G. Blaine, was also a candidate.

    James A. Garfield, friendly to the Blaine faction, was nominated and elected.

    A bitter party feud now ensued between the Conkling and Blaine groups.

    The Conkling followers called themselves “Stalwarts” and their opponents “Half-Breeds,’ names which came into general use.

    The climax was reached when President Garfield nominated W. H. Robertson for Collector of the Port of New York.

    The Conkling New York State Republican machine opposed this nomination.

    When President Garfield refused to withdraw it both United States Senators from New York State, Roscoe Conkling and Thomas C. Platt, resigned.

    They became candidates for re-election but were defeated, after a contest of 48 ballots, by Warner Miller of Herkimer and Elbridge G. Latham, who were elected by the New York State Legislature on July 17, 1881.

    There was never a more violent partisan conflict in the history of America, since the Leislerians and anti-Leislerians of 1689-1700, in New York State.

    President Garfield was assassinated on July 2, 1881, by a lunatic crazed by the prevalent political fury.

    WHERE THE HELL IS THIS NATION GOING?

    With that type of inflammatory, reckless rhetoric coming from at us from on high in Washington, D.C. to divide us, what kind of a future are we facing?

    A nation once again at war with itself?

    And that’s a no brainer, pe0ple – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER!

    To the contrary, by soundly rejecting HARRIS/WALZ and what can only be called their menagerie (a strange or diverse collection of people) of followers (cue Lefties losing it: Rita Panahi reacts to the best lefty breakdowns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOWmg0tnV_w&t=66s ) the American people showed themselves to be lucid, sane and rational, not deranged like “LEGAL EXPERT” Sunny Hostin, and soy boy/girlie man “CRYING” Jimmy Kimmel, both of whom hate our sacred democracy because it did not deliver them up the result that they demanded from it, poor babies.

    As to Sunny, more properly known as “BLACK CLOUDS, RAIN STORMS AND SQUALLS” Hostin, consider the article in The Hill titled “Sunny Hostin: Presidential election a ‘referendum of cultural resentment’” by Lauren Irwin on 7 November 2024, where we have “LEGAL EXPERT” Sunny emoting as follows:

    ABC’s “The View” host Sunny Hostin expressed disappointment with the outcome of the presidential election, calling it a “referendum of cultural resentment.”

    Cultural resentment?

    What in the hell is “cultural resentment,” other than some weird and bizarre claim “LEGAL EXPERT” Sunny came up with out of her ***?

    According to WebMD, and Sunny should pay great heed to this, resentment such as she clearly suffers from is a buildup of negative emotions such as anger, frustration, and disappointment.

    It often comes from feeling like you’ve been wronged.

    Signs include behavior such as withdrawing and acting out.

    If not addressed, it can damage your relationships and lead to mental and physical health issues.

    Going back to the story, it continues as follows, to wit:

    Hostin and the other hosts of the show gathered Wednesday morning to discuss President-elect Trump’s victory.

    “I’m profoundly disturbed,” Hostin began, as highlighted by Mediaite.

    Yes, people, she clearly is both mentally and emotionally disturbed, to the point of where her ability to think rationally, if she ever even had it, and use reason has shut right down tight, so that she is reduced to mouthing inane gibberish on network TV, which again takes us back to the story, to wit:

    “As a woman of color, I was so hopeful that a mixed-race woman married to a Jewish guy could be elected president of this country,” Hostin continued.

    Poor Sunny is having a mental and emotional background because the American people wanted more, much more, than a mixed-race woman married to a Jewish guy as the president of the United States of America!

    And with respect to the “Jewish guy,” that being Doug Emhoff, to so-called “second gentleman” of America, when the dude is as far from a gentleman can be and still be on the planet, let’s first cue Youtube, Watch Jen Psaki Praise Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff For “Reshaping the Perception of Masculinity” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOkAjVTQmW0 , and then go to an article in the Daily Mail titled “EXCLUSIVE – Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff ‘forcefully slapped ex-girlfriend for flirting with another man’ in booze-fueled assault after date to star-studded gala” by Josh Boswell on 2 October 2024, for a look at what Jen Psaki considers the model American man, from the standpoint of a Democrat, anyway, to wit:

    The Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, 59, allegedly struck the woman in the face so hard she spun around, while waiting in a valet line late at night after a May 2012 Cannes Film Festival event in France.

    One of her friends told DailyMail.com that the woman called him immediately after the incident, sobbing in her cab, and described the alleged assault.

    DailyMail.com is not naming the woman, who is a successful New York attorney, but will refer to her by the pseudonym ‘Jane’.

    A second friend said Jane, who had been dating Emhoff for three months, also told her about the alleged violence at the time.

    A third friend told DailyMail.com that Jane first told her in 2014 that she had dated Emhoff, and recounted the full story of his alleged abuse in 2018, when then senator Harris was in the news after grilling Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in a Senate hearing over sexual assault allegations.

    The friends, who all asked not to be named for fear of retaliation by Emhoff, shared with DailyMail.com pictures of him and Jane together from 2012, and other documents and communications corroborating elements of the story.

    The shocking claims follow revelations by DailyMail.com that Emhoff cheated on his first wife and mother of his two kids around 2008, allegedly impregnating his daughter’s nanny who also worked as her grade school teacher.

    Emhoff admitted the affair with the nanny and teacher, Najen Naylor, after DailyMail.com published the story last month.

    All three of Jane’s friends said she also told them about a disturbing alleged incident during her relationship with the Second Gentleman, in which Emhoff nonchalantly admitted to impregnating Naylor.

    But the Second Gentleman allegedly confessed to Jane that he paid Naylor a settlement of around $80,000, and had the nanny sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

    He has also spoken out in media interviews about being an ally to women and against toxic masculinity.

    In a fawning interview on Sunday, MSNBC host and former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki told Emhoff that he ‘reshaped the perception of masculinity’ – despite his admitted affair with his daughter’s nanny and teacher.

    These allegations strike to the heart of his benevolent image, promoted by the Harris presidential campaign.

    ‘Why?’ she questioned, before Hostin interrupted her co-host and said ‘misogyny.’

    Farah Griffin grew irate and threw her hands in the air at Hostin’s remark, and stressed that liberals ‘need to take some lessons’ from Trump’s resounding win.

    ‘No!’

    ‘It’s the border!’ Griffin responded to Hostin.

    ‘The border crisis is on their doorstep, and they were begging people to care about it for years, and we need to take some lessons.’

    Hostin then doubled down on her comment and insisted again that ‘misogyny and sexism’ are the reason Hispanic voters rejected Harris.

    ‘The lessons are not misogyny and sexism!’ a maddened Farah Griffin responded.

    As the panel descended into a hostile argument, Whoopi Goldberg waded into the spat and broke the tension with a joke, saying: ‘Knock knock, who’s there?’

In the original post in this series of reflections on the 2024 presidential campaign season and election, courtesy of the venerable Cape Charles Mirror, the only GRAND PALLADIUM of LIBERTY we common folks in America have, I stated that I was an older LOYAL AMERICAN citizen who is a political INDEPENDENT and who has lived through and remembers presidential campaigns going back to 1952 when Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Democratic Illinois Governor Adlai Stevenson II in a landslide victory.

    I then said that this MOCKERY of a presidential campaign presented to us this time around by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Timmy Walz, Barack and Michelle Obama and the Democrats was the most insipid and disgusting and downright stupid presidential campaign to come down the pike in my lifetime!

    Dignity and decorum went right out the window and we were presented with a spectacle straight out of a carnival sideshow in its place, with Timmy Walz jumping around and skipping and prancing around on the stage like a real dip****, while some overweight dude at the Democrat convention dressed up like a girl was telling us his preferred personal pronouns were “she” and “her,” as if that were reason enough to cast a vote for Kamala Harris, and those were just two incidents in the side show campaign and convention which demonstrated just how far out of touch with reality in America these Democrats really are today.

    And since I made that claim, as an older American who sees this as a “teaching moment,” I feel that it is incumbent upon me to present some credible evidence to justify my claims, and there is no better proof that I can present today than the first presidential debate between then-Democrat contender John Fitzgerald Kennedy, perhaps the last American president I had any respect for, and Richard Millhouse “I’M NOT A CROOK” Nixon on September 26, 1960, in Chicago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYP8-oxq8ig , that being the first-ever televised debate between presidential candidates in this country in our history.

    As the video starts, look at the body language of JFK versus that of Nixon.

    Listen to the opening remarks of Kennedy and look him in the eye as you are doing so, and then compare him to the ever-shifting eyes of Kamala Harris today (cue, Youtube, Harris says Trump “must never again stand behind the seal of the President of the United States” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXlKh140wdg ).

    Lisen to his message to the American people, and compare it to anything cackling Kamala Harris, to whom everything seemed a joke, said during her campaign.

There was a time in America, if it can be believed after this BILLION DOLLAR PLUS “bread and circuses” theatrical “campy drama,” defined as being so extreme that it has an amusing appeal, while being so over the top and farcical and intentionally exaggerated so as not to be taken seriously, which is exactly what we were presented with this past election season by Kamala Harris, the slovenly and pudgy Timmy Walz, and the Democrats, when there were no presidential campaigns.

    Presidential candidates initially did not travel to campaign: they were called to be the nominees but it was considered inappropriate to ask voters directly to vote for them.

    In other words, shamelessly pandering for votes, as Kamala Harris. was doing, with her electoral bribery, was considered undignified and “low class” for a person aspiring to fill this nation’s highest elected position,

    According to Statista today, on the occasion of the 2024 United States presidential election, political advertising in the world’s largest economy has climbed to unprecedented heights.

    In 2024, political ad spending was expected to add up to over 10 billion U.S. dollars, reaching a new peak.

    While most of that haul was devoted to traditional media – mostly TV – buys, digital media was forecast to claim 28 percent of 2024’s political ad spend.

    Then, we had what were known as “front porch campaigns.” which unlike this highly scripted and glittery KAMALA HARRIS EXTRAVAGANZA we were just presented with, which were low-key electoral campaigns used in American politics in which the candidate remained close to or at home where they issued written statements and give speeches to supporters who come to visit.

    Unlike today, the candidate largely did not travel around or otherwise actively campaign.

    The successful presidential campaigns of James A. Garfield in 1880, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, and William McKinley in 1896 are perhaps the best-known front porch campaigns.

    While McKinley was at his Canton, Ohio, home conducting his “front-porch campaign”, Marcus Alonzo Hanna (September 24, 1837 – February 15, 1904) an American businessman and Republican politician who served as a United States Senator from Ohio as well as chairman of the Republican National Committee, also a friend and political ally of President William McKinley, was out raising millions to help with the campaign and Hanna also arranged for various delegations to visit McKinley and hear him deliver a short speech that would then be circulated by the newspapers.

    These delegations were made up of various interest and demographic groups.

    William McKinley received more than $16 million in contributions for his 1896 campaign — an exorbitant sum for the time.

    Additionally, the campaigns of both McKinley and his opponent, William Jennings Bryan, were plagued with accusations of bribery and unethical behavior.

    McKinley’s chief fundraiser Mark Hanna, in particular, courted corporations with promises of a big-business-friendly agenda and raised more than $6 million.

    When discussing American politics, Hanna is famously quoted as saying, “There are two things that are important in politics.”

    “The first is money and I can’t remember what the second one is.”

    And thus, we were set on the road that led us to today, where after spending over a BILLION DOLLARS trying to buy the election, HARRIS/WALZ came in a distant second.

    And that takes us to the subject of “political messaging.”

    In American politics today, what is known as “messaging” is quite important, and here we see the stark divide between the two campaigns, with Trump’s “politics of hope and joy,” on the one hand, as we see in “Donald Trump – Dance Party With Beyonce” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY894giLaRo , where EVERYONE is not only feeling the joy and having fun, but further communicating that joy to the rest of America, getting people up and dancing to that catchy beat, compared to the dark, divisive speech of Kamala Harris and her dystopian vision of the future which people found to be a real downer compared to the politics of hope and joy of Trump and I think that difference between the messaging of the two campaigns, hope and joy for Trump versus hatred and vitriol from Harris (cue, Youtube, Harris says Trump “must never again stand behind the seal of the President of the United States” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXlKh140wdg ) made all the difference in the world in terms of the final outcome, where Trump’s campaign of hope and joy won out big time over Kamala Harris’s message of divisiveness and hate, and frankly, I’m surprised we didn’t see Kamala repeating the famous “shoe-banging” incident of former Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, who in a veritable paroxysm of uncontained rage, forcefully banged his shoe on a desk at the United Nations, taking off her shoe and whacking the bejaysus out of the podium with it as she delivered her diatribe against Trump in that hate-filled video, which video made it clear what we would be facing with her in the white house for the next four years.

    Trump was joyful, which made people feel good about themselves, while Harris was shrill, which was a real turn-off.

    So can we be surprised that the dark, hate-filled message of Kamala Harris lost big time?

    I don’t think so, myself.

    People looked at Kamala and her intimate connections to Joe Biden and en mass, the American people said we are turning the page and not going back, meaning repeating four more years of Joe Biden in the person of Kamala Harris!

    Instead, the sane and rational and lucid people of America said we are looking for a new way forward, one that did not include Kamala Harris, the misogynistic thug Doug Emhoff, the dip**** Timmy Walz, his weird wife Gwen, Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrat party in power.

    Will the Democrats learn anything from this?

    But she softened that endorsement last week during a live interview with the Times Union, indicating she would support whoever became the nominee amid weeks of intensifying calls among Democrats for Biden to exit the race.

    She said Monday that she had not yet spoken with Biden since he announced his departure from the presidential race in a letter released Sunday afternoon and without addressing the public in an interview or news conference.

    Hochul said she did not regret standing with Biden as long as she did and applauded him for federal investments in economic development and infrastructure in New York during what will be his only term as president.

    It remains unclear which New York Democrats, including some facing tough races this year, will fall in line behind Harris.

    As of Monday, endorsements from Democratic candidates in the state’s swing districts were still trickling in.

    U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand announced her support of Harris on Monday but Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer has not.

    Hochul avoided directly mentioning Democratic holdouts by name.

    Hochul said she could not speak to the timing of those endorsements, but said she is “very confident” New York Democrats would present a united front for Harris.

    During a news conference on Monday, U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, an Amsterdam Democrat, avoided answering whether Harris should be held at least partially responsible for her role as vice president in concealing from the public any concerns around Biden’s mental fitness.

    Instead, Tonko deflected and talked about the rigors of running a campaign and the White House simultaneously as factors behind Biden’s decision to step down.

    “I think the rigors of the campaign and being the most forceful messenger along that campaign trail is what drove his decision,” Tonko said.

    “(Harris) working with him routinely, I’m certain got a flavor of what I sensed when I was in the company of the president.”

    By Tuesday, the same Democrats who had loudly disagreed over having Biden as the party’s nominee days earlier had coalesced around their new one: Vice President Kamala Harris.

    The 307 delegates from New York chosen to attend the Democratic National Convention next month in Chicago jumped on a well-attended virtual call Monday night to make that decision alongside Gov. Kathy Hochul, the state party’s de facto head.

    The delegates from New York — the second-largest delegation behind California — will go to Harris.

    Rep. Tom Suozzi, who hadn’t yet endorsed Harris, said he would back her as the nominee around 10 p.m. Monday.

    “The response to Kamala Harris’ historic candidacy has been overwhelming and I add my name to the chorus of endorsements,” Suozzi said.

    The other Democrat from New York who had reserved his opinion was House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries from Brooklyn.

    His endorsement — along with that of Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, also a Democrat from Brooklyn — was expected, but not promised.

    Then the pair of high-ranking Democratic congressional leaders announced a rare joint news conference Tuesday afternoon and emerged in full support of Harris as their nominee.

    They wanted to wait to see how delegates from New York and other states reacted to Harris, Schumer said.

    She secured more than half the number required for the party’s nomination Tuesday.

    “Now that the process has played out, from the grassroots bottom up, we are here today to throw our support behind Vice President Kamala Harris,” Schumer said.

    Harris spoke with Schumer Sunday, he said, and told him she wanted to convince Democrats in New York and across the country to support her nomination rather than demand it from the top levels of the party.

    “We deeply respected that,” Schumer said.

    But while Harris didn’t direct the delegates personally, she instead deployed powerful surrogates like Hochul and Schumer to drum up support for her at the state level.

    That wasn’t hard, Schumer said.

    “The enthusiasm in this big, diverse party was amazing.”

    “It was palpable,” he said.

    “You could cut it with a knife!”

    They view Harris as their best shot heading into November not only to win the White House, but to build their numbers in Congress.

    Democrats have a razor thin majority in the U.S. Senate and are in the minority in the House.

    If Democrats flip enough seats in the House to win the majority, that would earn Jeffries a new title: House speaker.

    “We’re going to hold the Senate, we’re going to win the house, we’re going to elect Kamala Harris as our next president in November,” Jeffries said.

    The pair had reportedly asked Biden personally to consider ending his campaign for president but when asked if that was true, Schumer declined to answer.

    “He put his country first and made the right decision,” Schumer said.

    New York mirrored a national lurch to the right that is sending Donald Trump back to the White House with a decisive margin.

    In the famously blue state, Trump performed better than any Republican at the top of the ticket since 1988.

    Nationally, Trump did surge — not just in his share of the vote but likely in the total number of votes cast for him, with millions left to be counted in California and other states.

    Total turnout across the country could come close to the record set in 2020, according to a Washington Post analysis.

    In New York, though, turnout took a clear drop this year.

    Statewide turnout hovers just under 58 percent this year, down from over 61 percent in 2020.

    That could translate to at least half a million fewer votes and puts New York in the bottom 10 states for voter turnout nationally.

    Democrats at the top of the ticket paid the price.

    Gripper said the disaffection with Democrats that led many New Yorkers to either stay home or vote Trump on Tuesday owed in part to the party’s failure to address the cost of living crisis that many in the state are feeling.

    “If Democrats don’t demonstrate how they’re going to work together in a cohesive way, where they
    have trifecta of power in the state, to really find big solutions for the housing crisis, big solutions for the cost of childcare, they will lose voters,” she said.

    As that video of the first Kennedy/Nixon debate starts, the visual image of how calmly JFK was sitting there, obviously a man very much in command of himself, unlike Kamala Harris today, versus Nixon, who looked like he was sitting there waiting to find out if he got his girlfriend pregnant, made all the difference in the minds of the American people, and Kennedy was elected American president.

    It is widely reported that Nixon won the first of the 1960 presidential debates among radio audiences while Kennedy carried television viewers, and further that Kennedy’s victory translated to an electoral victory.

    It is thus assumed that style trumped substance when politics entered the television age.

    Considering other polling data reveals Sindlinger’s finding is likely the result of a Republican bias in the sample and not a mass defection of Democrats swayed by Nixon’s substantive arguments.

    Voters found Kennedy ahead on substance as well as style.

    Introduction

    The presidential debates in 1960 marked a watershed moment in American history.

    Television had become the defining development in American culture and the number of households with a television rose from 11% in 1950 to 88% by 1960 (White, 1961).

    Over 100 million viewers watched at least part of one of the four debates (Mickelson, 1972).

    For the first time ever two candidates for the world’s highest office had a national television audience judging their performances.

    The first of the four contests has received the most attention.

    There is a dominant account of what happened in that first debate and how that influenced the overall election.

    First, it is believed that John F. Kennedy was more attractive than Nixon in general, and Nixon is believed to have won the debate among those who listened on the radio.

    This is widely interpreted to mean that television favored style over substance (Schudson, 1995, Self, 2005, Vancil and Pendell, 1987).

    Second, it is widely assumed that the first debate was by far the most important one (Ambrose, 1987, p. 575) and indeed it had the largest audience (Self, 2005).

    A third conception is that the loss in the first debate translated fairly directly to a loss in the election two-and-a-half months later.

    White (1961) presented the math this way: “over 4,000,000 voters…ascribed their final decision on voting to the debates alone…and 72 percent (or almost 3,000,000) voted for Kennedy.”

      I was myself facing assault charges some time back for assaulting the vehicle of a politically-connected hit-and-run driver with my body, causing damage to the hit-and-run driver’s vehicle when he assaulted me with it.

      I represented myself in court before a jury and was acquitted/

      As to Mr. Bell, were I the judge in that matter, I would take a hard look at the “victim,” noting the various bruises, black eyes, split lip, contusions, a broken bone here and there thrown into the mix, and I would ask Mr. Bell to explain to the Court how the “victim” came to be in such a miserable condition, and after Mr. Bell went through the circumstances, about the “victim” engaging in protected political speech by burning the American flag, and how the various injuries then came to be inflicted, I would draw the inescapable conclusion that when Mr. Bell, a veteran, beat the living crap out of the flag-burner, that Mr. Bell was himself engaged in protected political speech, so that the only course for the Court was acquittal because Mr. Bell’s protected political speech in beating the snot out of the flag-burner, so long as committed within the territorial boundaries of the United States was protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, so that convicting Mr. Bell of assault, when in fact he was engaged in “speech,” would work an injustice on Mr. Bell.

      As to the dude who was the flag burner, I would similarly conclude that whatever injuries he received from Mr. Bell engaging in some protected political speech on him, were a direct result of the “victim” engaging in protected political speech in order to provoke the confrontation the “victim” was the loser in, and the lesson to the victim would be that when you provoke confrontation in America by burning the flag in front of veterans who have stood up for the flag, don’t get all upset when they in turn exercise their Constitutional right to free speech by beating the tar out of you, and then I would have the victim charged with making false charges against Mr. Bell and justice, American-style, would have been done.

According to an article in the Washington Examiner titled “Democrats turn on each other in battle for soul of the party” by Max Thornberry on 24 November 2024, the hapless, weird, out-of-touch-with-reality Democrats are nearly three weeks removed from their first popular vote defeat in a presidential contest in two decades and are riven about how to avoid a similar defeat in four years.

    According to the article, Sen.-elect Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) didn’t mince her words when she said her party needs to rethink not just its messaging but where its identity lies.

    “It’s not just what you’re saying but from what place you are talking about those issues,” Slotkin said.

    “I think No. 2 is, personally, I think that identity politics needs to go the way of the dodo.”

    “People need to be looked at as independent Americans, whatever group they’re from.”

    Those words were an eerie reflection of a warning Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) gave Democrats four years ago when they won the White House but failed to make huge gains in other contests after spending months touting the benefits of defunding the police and socialism.

    And then we come to the WOKE WEIRDNESS that epitomizes the Democrat party today, as follows:

    Democrats largely abandoned their “defund the police” messaging this time around.

    But Republicans dashed to remind voters about another 2020-era position most Democrats hadn’t abandoned — the issue of transgender female athletes competing against biological women in sports and a broader embrace of forcing a unanimous view on the contentious topic.

    One of Trump’s most successful campaign ads revolved around Harris’s 2019 positions saying she would approve of taxpayer-funded transition surgeries for illegal immigrants who were in prison.

    His message that Harris was for “they/them” and Trump was for “you” hit home to the tune of pushing the race 2.7 percentage points in his favor.

    Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) tried to verbalize his problem with his party’s position and might wind up getting driven out of the House for it.

    “Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton said days after the election concluded.

    “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

    The backlash was swift as Democrats lined up to separate themselves from Moulton’s comments and cling closer to the policy he was trying to move away from.

    Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Steve Kerrigan said Moulton’s words “do not represent the broad view of our party,” and a school system in Moulton’s district rejected his message “in the strongest possible terms.”

    Moulton’s own campaign manager, Kyle Davis, quit working for the congressman and demanded he resign his seat immediately.

    In 1775, we were split into two factions – those who were for the King in England, and those who were for liberty and self-rule, and there followed just over seven (7) years of bloody warfare with members of families divided and fighting each other to the death, which conflict killed off one percent of the population back then, with between 25,000 and 70,000 American Patriots dying during active military service, with approximately 6,800 being killed in battle, while at least 17,000 died from disease, the majority of whom died while prisoners of war of the British, mostly in the prison ships in New York Harbor.

    The American Revolution, a Civil War in actuality, as it was American against American as much as British troops against Americans, especially in the bloody Mohawk Valley of New York state, was second only to the Civil War in terms of losses to the population.

    Then we had the Civil War, which was Americans against Democrats, with some 500,000 who died on the Union and Democrat sides.

    And we were just getting back together as a people, when Viet Nam in the 1960’s tore us back apart again.

    And now, here we are, being torn apart by the very people who told us they were “uniters,” not dividers, as we saw in the Acceptance speech of coronated Democrat candidate Kamala Harris on August 22, 2024, to wit:

    “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

    The backlash was swift as Democrats lined up to separate themselves from Moulton’s comments and cling closer to the policy he was trying to move away from.

    Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Steve Kerrigan said Moulton’s words “do not represent the broad view of our party,” and a school system in Moulton’s district rejected his message “in the strongest possible terms.”

    Moulton’s own campaign manager, Kyle Davis, quit working for the congressman and demanded he resign his seat immediately.

    New York Times tech reporter Kevin Roose wrote a column last week that offered the familiar “I can breathe again” account: “After an hour or so of scrolling through Bluesky the other night, I felt something I haven’t felt on social media in a long time: free.”

    It is the ultimate irony.

    This election shocked many on the left precisely because they were writing and commenting on each other within their hardened media and political silos.

    They are unlikely to improve themselves by receding further into that safe space to rave about the “f—ing morons” who make up the majority of America.

    Some, however, want to take part of the country with them.

    New York State Sen. Liz Krueger (D-Upper East Side) has received praise for her call for New York to join Canada.

    Where Alexandre Dumas believed that ‘Nothing succeeds like success,” some believe that, after losing an election, nothing succeeds quite like secession.

    Krueger previously sought to block Trump from the ballot in the name of protecting democracy.

    That would have barred the 45 percent of New Yorkers who voted for the president-elect, but those voters would find themselves either Canadians or refugees under her proposal.

    Krueger suggested that secession simply makes sense when the majority of the country disagrees with you.

    She believes New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont could form a new Canadian province.

    “I got back some unofficial responses and heard this is probably sellable in Ottawa,” she said.

    “And look, if we were Europe, in the length of time we’ve been a nation, for Canada, if we were European countries, our borders would have moved around 20 times by now, right?”

    She explained that this is all just “thinking outside of the box.”

    The box that she and other liberals find themselves in is called “democracy,” and they don’t like it.

    Just for the record, the last time people thought “outside the box” and seceded, we got a war with roughly 700,000 people killed.

    Three Democratic strategists close to the Biden White House told the Washington Examiner that conversations about preemptive pardons for Trump critics, from Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-CA) to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, have “certainly” taken place but there was doubt that they would come to fruition.

    “Even with the threat Trump poses, I’d be surprised if the president issues preemptive pardons for any of Trump’s political enemies,” one senior Democratic strategist told the Washington Examiner.

    “That being said, I didn’t see the Hunter pardon coming, so I guess all bets are off.”

    “Pardoning Hunter, who was set to be sentenced and already had a target painted on his back by MAGA, is one thing, but this?” questioned a second operative.

    “It just doesn’t really make sense.”

    After Biden pardoned his son, despite repeatedly insisting he would not, Democrats and even some Republicans think the dam has broken.

    Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), said Thursday he suspects pardons for Fauci as well as the president’s brother, James, and even Biden himself, to shield from GOP investigations into the family’s business dealings with Hunter.

    Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who was the chairman of the House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 attack, told the Washington Examiner that he “wouldn’t object to” receiving a preemptive pardon from Biden, but that he was “not sure what I would need a pardon for.”

    A second Democratic operative granted anonymity to speak candidly said pardoning Washington insiders instead of those already languishing in jail would send the wrong message.

    “Are you only committed to protecting your rich, powerful political insider people who have defended you or are you also going to extend pardons and clemencies to thousands of people whose names are backlogged in front of your administration and who have not gotten the look because you’ve been too busy pardoning your deadbeat son?” the source told the Washington Examiner.

    “That’s what I would probably f***ing say if I was advising Joe Biden, that whole situation makes me so angry.”

    The person added: “Above all, people kind of want Joe Biden just to go away right now and can probably handle their own protection themselves.”

    To that end, Schiff, who earned Trump’s ire during his tenure as House Intelligence Committee chairman during the federal Russia investigation, has similarly dismissed presumptive pardons.

    “I don’t think a preemptive pardon makes sense,” Schiff told NPR last month.

    “I think this is frankly so implausible as not to be worthy of much consideration.”

    “I would urge the president not to do that.”

    “I think it would seem defensive and unnecessary.”

    Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), a longtime Biden alley, is urging the president to ask soon to protect those at risk, including former Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, who served on the Jan. 6 House committee, and special counsel Jack Smith, who prosecuted Trump in two federal cases that have since been dismissed.

    “I think it will be less than an honorable thing to do to leave this office and not do what you can to protect the integrity of their decision-making, especially when they were carrying out these responsibilities as patriots to this country, doing the things that are necessary in pursuit of a more perfect union,” he added.

United States, 236 U.S. 79 (1915) ( https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/236/79/ ) the United States Supreme Court defined the pardon framework, including that a pardon carries “an imputation of guilt and acceptance of a confession of it,” stating thusly therein as follows:

    This brings us to the differences between legislative immunity and a pardon.

    They are substantial.

    The latter carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it.

    The former has no such imputation or confession.

    It is tantamount to the silence of the witness.

    It is noncommittal.

    It is the unobtrusive act of the law given protection against a sinister use of his testimony, not like a pardon, requiring him to confess his guilt in order to avoid a conviction of it.

    It is of little service to assert or deny an analogy between amnesty and pardon.

    They are of different character and have different purposes.

    The one overlooks offense; the other remits punishment.

    The first is usually addressed to crimes against the sovereignty of the state, to political offenses, forgiveness being deemed more expedient for the public welfare than prosecution and punishment.

    The second condones infractions of the peace of the state.

    So, the fact that Joe Biden is considering granting preemptive pardons means that Joe Biden is indeed aware that crimes by Democrats have in fact been taking place during his administration, crimes which he obviously has to be aware of, given he is talking about granting pardons, a pre-condition of which is “an imputation of guilt.” and by talking about issuing these preemptive pardons to these Democrats, Joe Biden is making it incandescently clear to everyone in America that he does not mind condoning infractions of the peace of the state, so long as those infractions of the peace of the state are perpetrated by other powerful Democrats and his son, Hunter Biden!

    And who can be surprised at that!

    Certainly not me, anyway!
