Say hello to this little charmer — Benny is a 6-month-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix, black and white, and tipping the scales at a whopping 5 pounds! He’s already neutered and up to date on all his vaccines, and he’s not expected to get much bigger than he is right now (basically pocket-sized forever
).
Don’t let the size fool you though — Benny has BIG puppy energy. He’s fast, curious, and always underfoot, loves his toys (even the ones way bigger than him), and isn’t shy about breaking into a full-on zoomies session whenever the mood strikes. He’s still working on his potty training, but at the end of the day he just wants to curl up in your lap and be loved on. He’s affectionate, easygoing, and does great with kids, cats, and other dogs — a real “fits right in” kind of guy.

If you think Benny might be your next best friend, here’s how to meet him:
Stop by the shelter Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–2:30pm for a kennel walk-through (no same-day adoptions — an approved application is needed before a meet & greet)
Grab an adoption application at the shelter or print one anytime at www.shorespca.com
Or email us at shorespca@gmail.com and we’ll send one your way
Questions? Call us Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–3pm at 757-787-7385
We just ask that adopters have a good vetting history or be ready to keep up with vet care for our pups. ![]()
Help us find Benny his forever lap to snuggle on!
