About Champ
Hey, I’m Champ and I’m about 5 years old. I’m a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix little boy. I was pretty skinny, weighing just over 8 lbs. but I’ve put on a couple of much-needed pounds since I got here. I’ve not had much care in my life up to this point-never been to the doctors office for anything.
They cut a full inch off my nails and still weren’t close to the quick (it was causing me to walk funny). I was pretty dirty, too. My back is arched a little, and that might have been from spending so much time in a small cage. I even had to ride here in the trunk of the car, if you can imagine that!
But, things are looking up for me now. I had a bath & some really good food; I had to be stuck with a needle a couple of times for vaccines & a heartworm test (it’s negative at this time); and I just got neutered.
I’m very sweet and love to be held. I haven’t been around children yet so it’s unknown if I’m ok with them. I have met some dogs here and seem to love being with them.
