Hi, I’m Humphrey. I’m a male puppy around 7 months old, and I weigh around 25 pounds. I still have room to grow, so I may be a medium-sized dog by the time I’m full grown. I’m very laid back, and some staff might even call me “lazy for a puppy,” whatever that means. They tell me I’m an old soul in a puppy body.
But when I go out for a potty break, I have another puppy friend who goes with me, and once we’re finished “taking care of business,” the two of us have a ball romping around the yard together. I’m very friendly and affectionate and have plenty of love to give. It will be easy for me to fit right in to someone’s family. I will get along with other dogs, cats, and children.
I’m also super smart. Before I was transferred to Eastern Shore SPCA, my friends at Eastern Shore Regional Animal Control taught me how to sit, give my paw, lay down, and roll over, and I’m eager to keep learning new things. Because I’m a young guy and have been in a kennel situation for the last few months, I will need help on my house training, but I’m neutered and up to date on my vaccines.
If you want to see me, you can do a kennel walk-through Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and pick up an adoption application while you’re here. You can also email the shelter (shorespca@gmail.com) and ask that an application be attached and sent back to you.
A printable version of the adoption application is also available on the shelter website (www.shorespca.com). With an approved application, you can then be set up to meet me for a “meet and greet.”
Call the shelter (757-787-7385) Tuesday-Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. with any questions.
