Meet Pea Wee! Nope, that’s not a typo; it’s really spelled with an “a.” Guess whoever named him thought, “Oh, you’re such a little sweetie! If you were a girl, I’d call you Sweet Pea, but that’s not a boy’s name, so…u-m-m-m… maybe Pea Wee will work for you.”However his name came about, there’s no disputing that Pea Wee is one sweet little guy. So far in his young life (he’s about four months old), he’s never met a human he didn’t like. Everyone who enters the cat room gets greeted with purrs and cuddles galore.
A feisty little fellow, Pea Wee isn’t at all intimidated by roommates twice his size, but once he knows he’s gained their respect, he enjoys their company. As for toys, he’s an energetic pouncer; he loves to play with his toys and let them know who’s boss. His exuberant kitten personality is quite a contrast to his sophisticated “wardrobe”; search long and hard, but you won’t find even a speck of white on Pea Wee. This little charmer is completely black from the tips of his ears to the tip of his tail.

No white toes or chest blazes for him. Even his whiskers are black!Pea Wee has already been neutered, he’s up-to-date on all age-appropriate shots, and he’s litterbox trained, so he’s all ready to become part of his furever family. Whoever that is will probably discover that their TV set quickly loses ground to Pea Wee as a source of entertainment.
But unlike the TV, Pea Wee will provide them with lots of love and companionship too.
If you’d like to make Pea Wee a part of your family, you can request an adoption application for him by contacting shorespca@gmail.com or by picking one up at the shelter between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
