Pet of the Week: Meet Rusty!

Hi, I’m Rusty — and to meet me is to love me.

I’m a 5-month-old brindle boy with a little cream and white splashed in, and honestly? Nobody’s 100% sure what I am. My original family thought Chihuahua mix, but between you and me, I think I’ve got some hound and terrier in there too. Mystery pup, mysterious pup, that’s me!

Right now I’m a petite 18 lbs, but don’t let that fool you — I’m expected to grow into a medium-sized dog somewhere between 36-60 lbs, so I’ve got some GROWING to do. My last family loved me a ton but couldn’t keep me once they realized I might outgrow the size limit at their place. Their loss, someone’s gain!

A few things about me:

I already know how to SIT (I’m basically a genius)

I am OBSESSED with toys

I love cuddles and being held, even though my legs are getting a little too long for laps these days

I get along great with other dogs AND cats

I’d be totally fine with kids

I like people of all shapes and sizes — the more the merrier!

I’m a typical puppy, which means I like to chew and play (working on my manners, promise!)

I’m neutered, up to date on my shots, and ready to find my forever people. Think you might be the one?
