Pet of the Week: Mocha Still Needs a Home

Hi I am Mocha.

When I originally came to the shelter I was thought to be around 8-9 years old. But during my neuter surgery it was determined I am most likely around 13 years old. I am neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. I weigh in at around 15 pounds.

When I came into the shelter I was with an 18 year old dog, my partner, and he was on palliative care during his stay. My best friend has since passed and I was a faithful friend until the end.

However it doesn’t seem I have a huge tolerance for other dogs outside of my partner.

I have gone after dogs much bigger and younger than myself without a second thought, and was very fortunate these dogs did not retaliate. There may be another dog I can bond with but currently I am just looking to live the rest of my years in a home with someone who loves me and wants my friendship.

I absolutely adore toys. I am very spunky, and I am very spry and active for my age. I enjoy the company of most all people I have met, but in my senior years I may be better suited in a home without small children.

If you think you may interested in adopting Mocha you can do a kennel walk through any Tuesday-Saturday 10am-2:30 pm. (Please note we do not have any same day adoptions or meet and greets with dogs) an approved adoption application is required for an adoption meet and greet to be scheduled.
