As of February 2023 I have been with my friends at the Eastern Shore SPCA for over a year. I am a Shar-Pei/Boxer mixed female. Despite my age I am still very spry.
A year ago, even though she didn’t want to, my mother had to surrender me. I have been here at the shelter running this place ever since, if only the staff would do what I tell them to do!
I like to go outside, but not for long, just long enough to take care of business. I will still sling a toy around occasionally, but napping is one of my favorite things, next to treats, hence my still “healthy” figure.
I have the wrinkles of a Shar-Pei and the vocals of a Boxer, and am very short in stature.
When I initially came here it was believed that I may not get along with other dogs, as I was once attacked by a dog smaller than me. However another female dog here at the shelter took it upon herself to meet me and it didn’t go that bad. This is a glimpse into the possibility of living the remainder of my years out in a home with another dog, if the right dog friend came along.
I am very clean in my kennel, but would love to get out of that kennel and spend the remainder of my years in comfort with plenty of love. I can return that love and keep you plenty entertained (in between snacks and naps of course)!
I was spayed many years ago, and am up to date on my vaccines.
